This product is guaranteed for 5 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 5-year warranty is valid only on presentation of the product and receipt.

For braving bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.), these pants have been developed with a component and assembly that stops water from getting through and reduces wind-chill. The waterproof rating is measured by placing the product in a special shower that replicates the real-life conditions encountered by snowboarders during use. Finally, we went snowboarding for several days in all conditions to validate the waterproofing of the product.

As well as the waterproof fabric, we further enhance the pants' water resistance with taped seams. These are waterproof adhesive strips taped to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight. All of the product's seams are taped.

The water-repellent feature makes water run off the fabric without seeping in thanks to a treatment applied to its outer surface. The fabric does not soak up water and stays light and warm. This treatment must be restored during the product’s lifespan, every 2 to 3 washes on average, using products that are available in our stores. All our waterproof snowboard pants have a water-repellent treatment.

A membrane is a very thin component (between 5 and 25 micrometers) applied to the internal surface of a fabric to give it excellent waterproof and breathable capabilities. Our membrane components stop water seeping in while still letting the water vapor generated by your body pass through during your snowboarding session.

To keep you warm, we use padding insulation. Padding is a synthetic component made from polyester, which stores more or less air, depending on the length of the fibers. Padding can be standard, hi-tech or siliconized, each with different properties (warmth, lightness, elasticity, etc.). The SNB PA 500 is also equipped with the WARM SEAT technology which improves the insulation at the seat by 54% when sitting in the snow.

In order to keep warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-layer rule. The principle is simple: you need 3 layers of fabric, each of which serves a specific purpose. Your under-garment should produce and retain heat. Your protective shorts give you warmth (and protection against impacts), while the jacket protects you from the elements. All these layers should be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.

To optimize your product's performance and durability, we advise the following: Machine wash separately at 86°F. Synthetics cycle. Turn product inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring out by hand. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry-clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can restore the water resistance of the outer fabric using a fabric waterproofing spray. Read the care label.
