Bought this for my wife for our winter hikes, she loved them so much even took them for a winter camping trip!
Ideal winter walking trousers. Waterproof as well. Extremely comfortable, stretchy & fit perfectly. I’m a size 10 usually & that’s what I ordered. Good length I’m 5ft 8ins. Recommend.

Absolutely brilliant trouser for the money - way better than some of the market leaders out there
Had to go up 2 sizes which was a pain given that decathlon still does not offer changing room facilities and consequently involved 3 trips to the store to get the right size. In terms of waterproofing I have not experienced a single leak, nor condensation. The interior fleece lining is very soft and keeps me warm in the worst weathers. The right leg is a little uncomfortable though, there is an extra zip that pulls the structure of the trousers in a zig zag fashion and makes them feel very tight.
These trousers are so warm and very comfortable. They are my go to trousers now from walking my dog to hiking over the South Downs. Awesome trousers and wash really well.
These trousers are soft, warm, dry, & comfortable for walking. They've dropped a star as the fit isn't as good as I'd like. The waistband sits a little too low, the belt is a bit fiddly, & the cut isn't too flattering for my thighs. The lace hook at the front is useful though my winter walking boots don't have a D ring to attach them. I haven't washed these yet as they've only been worn twice, so I cannot comment on the durability.
These have dropped a star as the fit on my thighs isn't great & the waistband lower than I'd prefer. Other than that.they are warm & comfortable to walk in. I've only worn them twice so can't comment on how well they wash yet.

Great quality trousers. Haven't used in the rain yet, but are obviously waterproof. Nice and warm and totally wind proof. High backed, so no draughts and a hook on the front end of leg to attach to your boots. Top product, loving them.
I brought these trousers for walking to work on rainy days. But decided to also wear for cycling too. They are fabulous there warm and keep you dry in moderate weather. They come up quite big in the waist area. I'm usually size 8! in these trousers I had to buy size 4 26 waist. 28 long leg. Even the length is generous. I'd even recommend them for normal day wear to keep you warm if you feel the cold. Brilliant buy

A great, warm trouser for walking in the colder months. Fit as expected, maybe a little short but looks fine once walking shoes are on. Very comfortable and I can wear them with leggings underneath for extra warmth. Pretty stylish too!

What is water-repellency and how can you maintain it?
A fabric's water-repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm, and breathable. The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products (spray or liquid) designed specifically for this purpose are available in our stores.
Can you be sure that your pants are warm enough for hiking in the winter ?
The inside of your pants is brushed – a tried and tested method for retaining heat. The principle is simple: The component knit is structured to add volume to trap air, naturally insulating. It is exactly the same principle as animal fur or feathers.

These pants' slim fit and stretch fabric provide freedom of movement, which is essential when hiking on snow. The zipped pockets secure everything that needs to be at hand (tissues, lip balm, keys...).
How do your pants protect you from outdoor conditions?
In winter, it is important to be protected from both moisture (snow, rain) and wind, because the latter can significantly cool the body, regardless of whether you are physically active or standing still. We designed these pants with a windproof and water-repellent outer fabric, to cope with all winter conditions. We also added lace attachments to stop snow from getting inside.
How to dress properly for hiking in the snow
To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend using the 3-layer principle:layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry.layer 2: The 2nd layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outward.layer 3: The jacket protects from the outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind. The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.
Will your pants withstand regular use over the long term?
To ensure the durability of our products, we carry out tests on the components selected: resistance to rubbing and abrasion, colorfastness, resistance to repeated washing. All these tests were conducted on the component of your pants.
How does your product warranty work?
This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear and improper use.
Product testing
We carry out 2 types of thermal testing:- a test of the fabric of the pants.- a test on a thermal mannequin in a thermal chamber. We recreate the temperature, wind (3 mph) and humidity conditions that you encounter in the mountains when walking at 3 mph.These tests validate our design choices, and we then adapt the thermal insulation where you need it most.
Storage instructions
Store in a dry place away from the light.We advise you to avoid using chemicals such as bleach, which could cause deterioration in the garment’s thermal insulation.
