Product Customer Reviews

I recommend this wetsuit! And I love the colors. I am using it for surfing around San Francisco during the winter, and with my boots it's perfect!!
I REALLY feel the cold and was not expecting this to be as good as it was. Swam in the North Sea in late September and felt no cold whatsoever. No dribbles of water down my neck either. Very pleased with this, v comfortable and easy to move in
We capsized in the north sea in April, not a problem. This suit kept me hypothermia free while other crew members with more pricey suits appear not to cope so well...
This wetsuit is great , fits well and keeps you warm
Manufacturers please make larger sizes for women size 20 plus Lots if us are having to purchase mens sizes in order to do sports like dinghy sailing, my current suit is an 18 but several years old now! Not all modern women are petite but we are not 6 foot either.

How to choose the right wetsuit (part 1)
The first selection criterion when choosing a surfing wetsuit is the water temperature. Water temperature varies according to the location and the time of the year. Systematically make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Warm water above 68°F. Temperate water between 62 and 72°F. Cold water between 53 and 62°F. Very cold water between 44 and 53°F. Visit the site seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
How to choose the right wetsuit (part 2)
The 2nd criterion to take into account is the length of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models will be suitable. For up to 2 hours, opt for the 500 models and for up to 3 hours, the 900 models. Compared to the 100 models, the 500 models will be warmer (and more watertight) and more efficient at reducing fatigue (more freedom of movement) and irritation. The same is true for the 900 models compared with the 500 models.
Choose the right size
To make the most of the features of your wetsuit, it is necessary to choose the correct size. A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit and there should be no visible folds. When dry, it is perfectly normal to feel like it is too tight, this discomfort disappears as soon as the wetsuit gets wet. If you choose a wetsuit that is too big, folds will appear, you will experience irritation and thermal insulation will be reduced (letting in water). Try it on before you buy it!
Neoprene: how does it work?
By trapping a thin layer of water around the body, a neoprene wetsuit works in two ways: 1. The trapped water gradually warms up; 2. Heat transfer from the body decreases. The wetsuit and the thin covering of water form a layer of insulation.
Materials
Tribord 900 wetsuits are made from 100% ultra-stretch neoprene to ensure thermal insulation and ultra flexibility. The neoprene is lined with polyamide fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 5, 4 and 3 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. The flexibility of the 900 range is provided by the super-stretch properties of the foam and the textile.
Neck
The neck finish has been developed to limit irritation. According to the sensitivity of the wearer, a UV top can be worn under the wetsuit to reduce the risk of irritation. The application of grease (e.g. Vaseline) in friction areas (neck, underarms, knees) is also recommended if wearing the wetsuit for long periods.
Back zipper
We opted for a back zip for our 900 women's models because it is the most suitable configuration for the female body shape when putting on and taking off the wetsuit. The back flap ensures an optimal watertight seal.
Watertight assembly
The seams are stitched and glued to ensure a watertight seal and durability. The seams are blind-stitched. The thread does not pass all the way through the neoprene, so water can't get through. The absence of threads on the inside avoids irritation and chafing. Patches for comfort and reinforcement are strategically placed on the inside in sensitive areas. To further enhance the watertight seal and durability of the assembly of our 900 ranges, they are fully taped on the inside.
Maximum freedom of movement
The Tribord 900 women's wetsuit collection has a cut and materials that were specifically chosen to increase freedom of movement as much as possible and to make paddling easier. The entire wetsuit is made from ultra-stretch neoprene. All the seams are stretch seams.
Windproof
We have added a windproof panel on the chest of the wetsuit (Fine Mesh smooth neoprene) to prevent the shivering which can occur as a result of windchill when surfing, bodyboarding, windsurfing or kitesurfing. This component improves the thermal comfort of the wetsuit and reduces shivering.
Quick drying
The 900 5/4/3 women's wetsuit benefits from the new brushed laminated inner lining. This enables not only a minimal weight increase in the water but also ultra-fast drying. In order not to hinder the capillary action at the extremities, this lining is positioned on the torso and on the thighs (down to the knees).
Key pocket
There is a key pocket at the back of the calf.
Stay warm for longer thanks to our thermal accessories! each temperature range has its own outfit...
When we are in the water, we lose more than half of our body heat through our extremities (feet, hands, head). Consequently, here are the recommended accessories: - in warm water and temperate water (>63°F) => neoprene low booties. - in cold water (53 - 62°F): High booties (boots) and gloves. - in very cold water (44 - 53°F): High booties (boots), gloves, hood and hooded top...
