For your convenience, Decathlon purchases of new products can be returned by mail or at any of our retail stores, with proof of purchase, regardless of whether you made your purchase online or in a store.
How to return to a store
Bring your unused item with its original product packaging and tags (if available) and proof of purchase to the customer service desk for return or exchange.
How to make an exchange
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer direct exchanges by mail—to replace an item, you need to return it and then purchase a new one in a separate transaction. You can do so in one of the following ways:
Order a replacement item online, then follow the “How to return by mail” instructions to return your original item. Write the order number of your replacement purchase on your return packing slip and indicate that this is for an exchange.
Return your item to a Decathlon store, get a temporary store credit and purchase a replacement in store. A store representative will assist you with your exchange.
How to return by mail
Due to high demand, our returns process is currently taking longer than usual. Thank you for your patience as we work to expand our processing capacity as quickly and safely as possible. Refunds are currently issued within 1 to 2 weeks after we receive your package. Note: It may take up to 3 additional weeks for your bank to refund your credit card or for a refund check to arrive.
Follow these three steps :1. Print your shipping label
Use our return portal links below to print a return shipping label and return packing slip. You’ll receive a confirmation email and a link to track your return progress. Some exceptions apply (see “Mail-in returns exceptions”)
Please note: we offer free return for standard size/weight packages when you use the prepaid shipping label provided. This only applies if your return is mailed using the prepaid label. Any additional shipping costs incurred as a result of returning oversize items with the prepaid standard packages shipping label will be deducted from your refund.

Pack your item(s) securely and include the original product packaging and tags if available. Make sure to include the return packing slip that prints with your return shipping label.3. Prepare & ship your package
Tape your package securely and affix your return shipping label to the outside. (Hint: If you cover all existing shipping labels, you can reuse the bag or box your order came in.)
Drop off your package at a UPS location near you. Once it ships, use the shipping label tracking number for your return package. You may track it on the carrier’s website like UPS: www.ups.com/tracking
We’ll email you once we’ve issued a credit or a check – typically within 10 business days after we receive your package. It may take up to 3 additional weeks for your bank to refund your credit card or for a refund check to arrive.
If we have questions about your return, we will contact you by phone or email.
Returned merchandise that does not meet the conditions of the Return Policy will be declined and sent back at your cost or destroyed.
All sales are final on gift cards, as noted at time of purchase.
All sales are final on Decathlon Sale purchases in physical stores.

How do I try a product ?
All our products can be tested in one of our retail stores. We will be happy to assist you if you leave nearby.
We understand that sometimes our athletes need to try an item before realizing it’s not a good fit. Once you receive your purchase, please try it out at home first, in an inactive setting. Don’t remove product tags and keep the original package.
Test bike size at home before mounting the pedals and if you decide to return it, pack it carefully. Contact us if you need assistance.
Test the tent prior to taking it into the field. Use either a garage or room in your house to set the tent up and ensure that it will work for you.
Inflatable equipment like Paddle-board/Kayak must be inflated when in use. When you receive the item, we ask that you unpack it, paying attention to how it came packaged, and inspect the item, rolled out on the floor. Feel the product, inspect the material and decide whether you want to keep it or not, WITHOUT inflating it. Rest assured that, if an issue arises once inflated in the field, our Warranty will take care of that (that said, this is extremely rare).
Scooters/Skateboards/Rollerblades/Surfboards/Skis/Snowboards/Horse Saddles have to be tried at home on a clean surface.
Fitness Equipment/Exercise Bikes/Weights, before purchasing fitness equipment, exercise bikes or weights, please ensure that this is the right product for you. A Sport Expert is on standby to assist you in your purchase decision from beginning to end: Contact Us. Once you have made the purchase, and the product arrives, carefully unpack them. If you are going to want to test the machines, please be careful to not break the packaging as you should think about being able to ship it back. If you are planning on assembling the product, please do so with the thought that you may want to return it. Once done assembling, check out the product, the feel of the product and decide if you want to keep it. If you plan on returning it, it is critical that all items be repackaged correctly. That the machine be disassembled correctly and that all pieces and components be included in the box. That the protection that the item came with, to protect the item during transport, be reapplied and within the box, to minimize damage during the return.
How will I get my refund ?
Online orders :
All online orders will be refunded to the original payment type.
Store purchases :
Store purchases returned to store locations will be refunded to the original payment type.
All online orders using PayPal will be refunded to the original PayPal account when returned by mail only. Decathlon stores are unable to credit PayPal accounts and will request a refund for you (expect a little extra delay for us to process the request).
What if I don’t have proof of purchase ?
We can help locate proof of purchase in store. For returns by mail, follow the “How to return by mail” instructions at the top of the page and provide your order email on the first screen of the return portal.
How do I return a gift by mail ?
Complete the returns process outlined in “How to return by mail” at the top of the page. In the returns portal, provide contact details for the gift recipient. Indicate on your return packing slip that you are requesting a gift recipient refund. Make sure to include the original proof of purchase with your return.
All gifts returned by mail will be refunded in the form of a check issued to the gift recipient name and address provided.
Please note: If gift recipient contact details are incomplete and/or a gift recipient refund is not clearly requested, the original purchaser will be refunded.
How do I know if my return item(s) are oversize ?
Product categories that are considered oversize include:
Bikes and bicycle trainers
Scooters, Skateboards, Rollerblades
Inflatable Stand up paddle boards and Kayaks
Single and double joggers/strollers
Skis, Snowboards and Surfboards
Fitness equipment (Treadmills, Exercise bikes, weights and others fitness equipment)
Ping Pong Table
In addition, any return package weighing over 20lbs or longer than 5ft is considered oversize.
How do I return oversize item(s) ?
If you need to return an oversize item, it can be returned for free to one of our retail locations. You may also work directly with a carrier to meet any shipping conditions required to return it by mail. Follow these steps when working directly with a carrier to ship your return.
Bike has to be disassembled and repackaged, as it was received, in its Decathlon Box, with the appropriate protection added to avoid potential damage in return shipping.
For tents, please ensure that you take the tent down per instructions. Repackage the tent as you received it.
Inflatable craft have to be deflated and repackaged as you received it.

How do I know if my return item(s) contain hazardous materials ?
Flammable liquids, used liquid fuel stoves, loose or uninstalled batteries (even if still in packaging), adhesives, solid fuels, used or charged CO2 cartridges, aerosols, bug repellent and matches are considered Hazardous Materials for shipping purposes and cannot be returned via our return portal.
Items with batteries pre-installed, such as headlamps or GPS units and watches can be returned via our return portal without restrictions if no more than two are included per package.
How do I return item(s) containing hazardous materials ?
If you need to return an item containing hazardous materials, it can be returned for free to one of our retail locations. You may also work directly with a carrier to meet any shipping conditions required to return it by mail. Follow these steps when working directly with a carrier to ship your return.
Shipping should only be arranged through a shipping professional with full disclosure of the item to be returned to ensure appropriate handling/labeling. Items classified as Hazardous Material for shipping purposes may be subject to special labeling and/or handling requirements when shipped.
How do I work directly with a carrier to ship a return ?
Please note: You are responsible for return shipping costs.
Pack the item securely and include the original product packaging and tags if available. (Hint: If you cover all existing shipping labels, you can reuse the bag or box your order came in.)
Include proof of purchase (invoice, store receipt) plus your name, address, email, phone number and a brief description of why you’re returning the item.
