To return purchases made online for replacement or refund, visit our Online Order Exchanges & Returns page. For prepaid returns, it's one label per order.
While most items qualify for free return, exceptions apply to some products such as, oversized items, non standard size/weight items, and bundled items. Items that qualify for free return will state "Free returns" on the item page. If your item does not qualify for free return, please follow the return instructions guide in the “Non-Free Return Items” section below.

If your item(s) do not qualify for free return, you can still ship them to us at your expense using our Online Order Exchanges & Returns page. Once the return form is filled out, our team will send a return label to you and the amount will be deducted from your refund.
Please follow these steps:
- Pack the item securely and include the original product packaging and tags if available. (You can reuse the bag or box your order came in if you cover all existing shipping labels)
- Include proof of purchase, email, phone number and a brief description of why you’re returning the item.

- Ship your package using a carrier that can provide tracking and insurance. Decathlon is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is my return processed?
Once your return is received at our warehouse, it is reviewed by the Returns Team. If it meets the standards outlined in our Return Policy, the return is approved. For refunds, the money will be transferred to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, it’s usually within 48hrs.
How do I mail my package?
Follow these three steps :
- Print your return shipping label and return packing slip.
- Pack your item(s) securely and include the original product packaging and tags if available. Make sure to include the return packing slip that prints with your return shipping label.
- Tape your package securely and affix your return shipping label to the outside. (Hint: If you cover all existing shipping labels, you can reuse the bag or box your order came in.)
- Drop off your package. Once it ships, use the tracking number to track your return. You may track it on the carrier’s website.
How do I try my product and keep it in new condition?
We understand that sometimes our customers need to try an item before realizing it’s not a good fit. Once you receive your purchase, please try it out at home first, in an inactive setting. Don’t remove product tags and keep the original package.
Test bike size at home before mounting the pedals and if you decide to return it, pack it carefully. Contact Us if you need assistance.
Test tents indoors prior to taking outside. Use either a garage or room in your house to set the tent up and ensure that it will work for you.
Inflatable equipment like paddle-boards and kayaks must be inflated when in use. When you receive the item, we ask that you unpack it, paying attention to how it came packaged, and inspect the item, rolled out on the floor. Feel the product, inspect the material and decide whether you want to keep it or not, WITHOUT inflating it. Rest assured that, if an issue arises once inflated in the field, our Warranty will take care of that (that said, this is extremely rare).
Scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, surfboards, skis, snowboards, horse saddles should be tried at home first on a clean surface.
Fitness equipment, exercise bikes, weights: Before purchasing fitness equipment, exercise bikes or weights, please ensure that the item is the right fit for you. A Sport Expert is on standby to assist you in your purchase decision from beginning to end: Contact Us. Once you have made the purchase, and the product arrives, carefully unpack it. Please be careful to not damage the packaging as it can be reused to return the item. During assembly, please keep in mind the fact that you may want to return the item and assemble carefully. Once assembled, test the product and decide if you want to keep it. If you decide to return the product, it is critical that all items are repackaged correctly. Equipment must be disassembled correctly and all pieces and components must be included in the box. The packaging that the item came with should be reapplied, to minimize damage during return.
How do I return a gift by mail?
Please Contact Us and provide contact details for the original purchaser.
All gifts returned by mail will be refunded in the form of a gift card issued to the gift recipient name and address provided.
Please note: If gift recipient contact details are incomplete and/or a gift recipient refund is not clearly requested, the original purchaser will be refunded.
How do I know if my return item(s) are oversize?
Any return package weighing over 20 lbs. or longer than 5 ft. is considered oversize. Examples of product categories that are considered oversize include:
Scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades
Inflatable stand up paddle boards and kayaks
Skis and snowboards
Fitness equipment (treadmills, exercise bikes, and others fitness equipment)
Ping pong tables
How do I return oversized item(s)?
You may return oversized items through our Online Order Exchanges & Returns page, but keep in mind that you will be responsible for the shipping costs associated with this item, which will be deducted from your refund, once approved by us.
- Bikes: Must be disassembled and repackaged, as it was received, in its Decathlon box, with the appropriate protection added to avoid potential damage in return shipping.
- Tents: Please ensure that you take the tent down per instructions. Repackage the tent as you received it.
- Inflatable crafts: Need to be deflated and repackaged as you received them.

How do I know if my return item(s) contain hazardous materials?
Flammable liquids, used liquid fuel stoves, loose or uninstalled batteries (even if still in packaging), adhesives, solid fuels, used or charged CO2 cartridges, aerosols, bug repellent and matches are considered Hazardous Materials for shipping purposes and cannot be returned via our return portal.
Items with batteries pre-installed, such as headlamps or GPS units and watches can be returned via our return portal without restrictions if no more than two are included per package.
How do I return item(s) containing hazardous materials?
You may work directly with a carrier to meet any shipping conditions required to return hazardous materials by mail.
Shipping should only be arranged through a shipping professional with full disclosure of the item to be returned to ensure appropriate handling/labeling. Items classified as Hazardous Material for shipping purposes may be subject to special labeling and/or handling requirements when shipped.
How refunds works?
All online orders will be refunded to the original payment type.
All online orders using PayPal will be refunded to the original PayPal account.
