Good grips!

We used it during our hike to Mount Amos. They have good ankles support and good grips!

Light with good ankle support

First time trying this brand and happy with it. Good traction downhill on gravel and mud. Love that they are waterproof with all the water in Spring in the trails. I was hesitant to buy online because I use orthotics but shoes fit perfectly. Just waiting to see how long they last. I already recommended them to my friends!

Not superior quality, however good quality enough for my use. Wore them on my first hike today and my feet are not hurting one bit!

Dissatisfied

I love the colour of these boots, and they are lightweight. Unfortunately on walks of over one mile they rub both big toes on the top where the stitching panel is, so unable to wear them. Because I bought them in store I am not able to return them online. I need to go back to the town I bought them in. I found decathlon very unhelpful.

Worked great for my daughter

These were great in a size 39 for my tall 10 year old who has long slender feet.

So comfy

Climbed snowdon the first rime I wore these boots, blisters, rubbing or aches and pains. Warm, dry, happy feet the whole walk! Cannot wait to wear again!

MH100 turquoise boots

I had to buy 2 sizes larger than my foot size to accommodate the ball of my feet. I haven't yet worn them in wet weather so am unable to comment on how waterproof they are. Very comfortable

Love them

These are my second pair of these boots. Absolutely love the colour, stile and comfort. They do come up small so I would advise that you go up a size. Other than that , they are great.

The inner material is too hard on the feet

I really like these boots on the first couple hikes - nice cushion and very comfortable. But from the third hike, the inner material around the toes and the back of the foot started hurting way too much that I could barely complete my hike. And the feet were wounded for days. These are probably ok for short walks but not for long hikes.

Definitely for occasional hiking

Decent for walks less than 2 hours on well marked paths. Not great for longer walks or walking through long grass. Spent a day walking with wet toes and my feet were sore at the end

C’est bon

Used the size tool. Broke it in on a 3 hour hike. No blisters, good support. Quite comfortable and great price.

Sole with grip

The grip of our soles is certified. To be awarded certification, the shoes must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip rate on different surfaces (Smooth, Rugged, Dry, Wet). To validate these tests, we assess the quality of our soles in the field, the mountains, by a panel of representative testers over 310 miles

Waterproofing test

In a laboratory, the shoe is immersed in water to mid height on a mechanical arm that simulates a number of steps. From this test we are able to establish how long and how many miles the shoe can withstand and remain dry. - 2,000 flexes, around 30 minutes hiking - 10,000 flexes, around 3 hours - 30,000 flexes, around 8 hours - 50,000 flexes, around 12 hours We then validate in the field and rain that the shoe withstands this in use.

Making waterproofing last longer

To keep your feet dry, it is advisable to use a waterproof gaiter or mini-gaiter that will protect the shoe upper from water getting in, as well as pebbles, sand, etc. . It is advisable to use a waterproof spray twice a year (search “waterproof spray” on the Decathlon website). This restores the original water-repellent properties and prevents staining.

Choosing a size

It is important to try several shoe sizes and styles to find the best one for you! Feel free to choose one size above your usual size to prevent your toes from hitting the front of the shoe when going downhill, as long as the foot is secured to avoid rubbing. Advice: keep your toenails short and, before any long descent, check that your lacing is tight enough to prevent your foot from sliding forward inside the shoe.

Purchase advice / how to try on your footwear

Certain Decathlons stores are fitted with a test trail. 1. Try both shoes on, standing up, wearing the socks you use for hiking. 2. Tie the laces making sure to evenly distribute the tightening. 3. Check 2 things: - the heel does not get off the ground before the shoe when you walk uphill. - your foot doesn’t slide and toes don’t touch the front when going downhill. 4. Try on several sizes and styles. Wear them gradually so they conform to your feet.

Which socks?

A waterproof shoe will be less breathable than a non-waterproof shoe. Our MH500, MH520 and MH900 socks in long or medium length (according to the height of the shoe) are therefore recommended to wick away moisture and avoid rubbing.

Make the most of your shoes: replace your inner soles!

The original inner sole in your shoes should suit the majority of feet. Changing the inner sole can provide: 1. Better support: some soles are pre-formed or reinforced to better support the foot arch. 2. More comfort: soles can also provide warmth and/or cushioning. 3. Increased durability: get back the support and comfort of your shoes by replacing the sole every season.

Laboratory tests

Further laboratory tests are also conducted to validate the following: tearing of eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of sole and upper components, accelerated aging.

How to care for your shoes

- Leave to dry outdoors. - Remove dried mud with a fairly hard brush. - Clean with a brush and a little warm water to remove stains - Leave to dry - Spray with a waterproof spray to restore the water-repellent properties of the upper.
