Beautifully designed, very comfortable and easy to go with multiple pockets. Quick dry and keeps warm even in -3 degrees as per my experience
Great jacket, excellent value for money. Just what I was looking for. Very good when it's +5 to -5 degrees outside, not too warm unlike some other coats meant for colder weather. Keeps the wind out well too. Larger than expected though: I usually wear UK size 10 or 12 tops and ordered S, but it had too much space on the waist, had to send it back and get XS instead to get a better fit.

Honestly couldn’t praised this jacket enough. I had several different jackets over the years some of designers and so far non of them met my winter expectation except the one I have purchased from Decathlon! The best £50 I spend so far!
I bought this jacket for autumn but think I could wear it in winter too. It is lovely and warm, maybe even too warm still for the weather now (end of Oct). But you can wear it with something light inside in autumn and something warmer in winter. Win-win!

I bought this for winter fell walking . Tested it out in heavy rain on a walk that took about 3 hrs. I was lovely and dry. I went up a size so i could wear extra layers . A very warm waterproof jacket at a great price. I also like the inside pocket as its a good size.
I love it! It lasted almost the entire winter, I only got cold in it on the coldest days. I really like the color, the length, and the cut. I like that the waist is tight, and the neck and hood are well protected from the wind.

Can i be sure that my jacket is warm enough for my winter hikes?
We developed your jacket for wintry conditions: cold, rain and snow. The insulation is made from 150 g/sqm wadding on the body and 100 g/sqm on the arms combined with a fleece.(synthetic insulating component thanks to the air that it stores in its fibres)We added an inside flap under the zip fastening to block incoming cold air. The toggle tightening at the jacket hem is the finishing touch to ensure your jacket is comfortable down to -10°.
How does my jacket protect me from outdoor conditions?
Your jacket is designed with a waterproof outer component that keeps out water and wind. To keep you warm in winter you must also protect your extremities (head, hands, feet). The warm hood, the Velcro fastenings at the cuffs and the high collar prevent the cold from entering. Two warm pockets in extremely soft fleece protect your hands from the cold.
Waterproofness of this jacket
The waterproofness of a jacket isn’t limited to just its components: the assembly technique of the different parts is also an evaluation criterion.Whether heat-sealed or sewn then waterproofed, the overall waterproofness of your jacket is measured using a shower test developed by Decathlon, which simulates rain of different intensities.As such, this waterproof jacket protects you from a downpour, i.e. 12 cm of rain in 2 hours.

The waterproofness of a fabric, provided by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerber or mm H²0 (pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This jacket has a waterproof coating (JIS 1092 standard) resistant to 5,000 mm H²O (Schmerbers) before washing.
Water often gets in through the seams. does my jacket have waterproof seams?
Your jacket is waterproof thanks to the fully taped seams. Waterproof tape is added to the seams inside the garment to make them watertight so that water cannot enter through the more vulnerable areas.We validated the waterproofing with a shower test specially designed to replicate the conditions of a two-hour shower. We also wore it in the field in all weather conditions to make sure that it is suited to your activities.

A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products (spray or liquid) for this purpose are available in our stores.
