Who We Are: The Domyos Commitment to Eco-Responsibility
Our Mission

We want to develop intuitive, environmentally responsible products that are easy to wear so you can concentrate on one thing: yoga! We've implemented real practices to reduce our impact on the environment, from the start of development to when it hits the shelves.

The development of our products requires electricity and water. With this in mind, we careful select who we partner with in the creation of our yoga gear: their manufacturing practices must be sustainable and high-quality and the manufacturer must be environmentally aware. We aim to be the market leader in terms of development and practices--these must be sustainable and responsible.

Development

When it comes to product development, our designers observe and study the habits of yoga-lovers around the world. There are two things we strive for in our products: simplicity and high-tech. In this approach, we trim off the excess and give extra thought to reduce our impact on the environment.

Validation

Before arriving on shelves, all of our products are tested and validated by yoga enthusiasts and teachers alike. With the help of client feedback, we're always improving our range and continue to develop new generations of products, always more sustainable and high-tech!

Materials

The materials of our products must be eco-responsible: we select only natural materials of excellent quality so you can make sure you're making the best choice. Establishing trust between us and you is something we strive for each day. We want to allow you to practice yoga while completely respecting the environment!

Developing products has an impact on the environment! Over the last few years, we've implemented manufacturing policies meant to reduce our impact as much as possible and to limit our excess waste.

Seamless

It's finally a reality: our seamless textile manufacturing creates less waste compared to our traditional sewn and cut processes. On top of that, these products adapt to all bodies and guarantee maximum comfort with their "second-skin" effect!

Dope Dye

Water management is a great challenge when it comes to ensuring the safety of our planet. Dyeing one kilogram of textile requires using between 100 and 150 liters of water (depending on the type of fabric). With this in mind, our teams have created new methods to save this precious natural resource. Not only do we seek to use as little water as possible, but we also seek to limit the manufacturing processes that create pollution. Through our research, our dyeing methods have reduced our water usage by 60% and have considerably reduced our CO2 emissions. And, surprisingly, our products keep their vibrant colors for longer!

To assure the technical aspects of our products, use the right materials, and pick the best manufacturing practices, we work with factories around the world. To reduce our carbon footprint, we only transport our products by sea.

Currently in the Works

We always re-examine our manufacturing processes and always seek to implement more modern and sustainable practices to help save the environment:

  • Research alternatives to PVC foam, TPE, and polyurethane four mats
  • Research on vegetable polymers and recycled materials
  • Preference for local manufacturing of certain products like our wooden meditation bench and fabric accessories.
  • Research solutions for re-using old products
  • Implementing seamless textile manufacturing to use more eco-responsible materials
  • Maximum reduction of fabric waste
  • Creation of labels and tags made of recyclable materials
  • Eliminating packaging, includin, cardboard, and plastics, as well as labels and tags unless necessary for the product.

All of our prototypes are tested and approved by our ambassadors and external yoga testers before they hit the market. There can be up to 5 prototypes before the product is made official!

Care Instructions

To maintain your yoga mat, clean it regularly with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. If you do yoga very regularly, wash your mat about once a month. If the dirt is really in there, leave it to soak; this'll save you some effort! Dirt, dust, and sweat can wear away at the grip of your mat. Between cleanings, consider treating your mat with a spray of essential oil.

Our goal: offer high-tech, high-quality products at affordable prices that are eco-developed at every step, from start to finish!
