You still have to blow enough to inflate it properly, which can be painful for some people. Deflating it enough to roll it up properly so you can put it in your bag also requires a minimum of force. Good for young hikers.

Please note, product sold as self-inflating in 30 seconds on the packaging nomenclature but this is marketing because it requires additional inflation with the mouth....and requires at least 6 minutes of airing of the valve in ....however the air adjustment remains relatively low 5 to 6 breaths
If you want to have a comfortable sleep while camping, definitely buy it. It's very easy to assemble, you just have to fold it very tightly when you want to put it back in the bag. I can definitely recommend it.
Regarding self-inflation. You always have to pump the air yourself, but that's not a problem. Comfort, durability, the ability to connect two pieces, and the material are undoubtedly advantages. CONS: I bought two for a roof tent. One works great. In the second, the mat loses air and by the morning it is a thin piece of rubber. Unfortunately, I didn't test it before my trip to Norway and I had to deal with a defective product for two weeks. Despite the shortcomings, before the season I will buy another compatible device with a good and proven mat. I hope the new one turns out to be good.

TOO HARD AS A SLEEPING
Easy to inflate and retains enough air, great.
not yet used, only tested as indicated by the seller (unfolding, re-inflating) everything is good except storage in its cover despite several attempts to fold it by rolling it up. I'm afraid of struggling every morning. A strap is missing to tighten it more. Otherwise very wide which is good and appears comfortable even with just unfolding without adding air.

The principle of a self-inflating mattress
A self-inflating mattress consists of an airtight envelope glued to an open cell foam in which the air circulates. When you unfold the mattress, it will return to its original shape and thickness (4.5 cm for the AG Comfort) and fill with air accordingly. However, it requires some mouth inflation so you can adjust it to the pressure level suitable for you. Self-inflation is more or less noticeable depending on the thickness of the mattress.
Directions for use
We advise you to get out and unroll your mattress as soon as you set up camp. Leave the valve open to make pre-inflation easier. A self-inflating mattress inflates itself to about 80%. You will need to blow up the rest yourself, so you can adjust the pressure to your desired comfort level.Caution: choose your mattress width according to your tent's interior measurements.
