I also use the jacket in everyday life, it is light and breathable and the zips under the armpits allow for excellent ventilation.
Alright
Super pleasant jacket to wear even if the pockets are oddly made. The style is nice and rather urban. On the other hand, it is necessary to review the design of the waterproofing at the end of the sleeves. I think there is just water repellency. After less than a season the cuffs become soaked with water and rise by capillary action. My down jacket is therefore soaked all over the forearm. There is a real design problem, I am disappointed.
Very nice, light and comfortable jacket. Tested for one hour in the rain. As a result, the hiker remained dry. I recommend this product.
A little short, ams very effective
Very efficient article from all points of view. The front pockets are very comfortable. Even though it is a male item, it adapts very well to the female body
Perfectly meets my expectations
Great product. After 2 years, the Velcro fasteners on the sleeves are a little more worn. It holds up beautifully even in heavy rain. I also use it as a top layer during winter hikes.

Cut

Membrane
The waterproof rating of a product depends on the following two main criteria: its component and its construction. This product was made with a membrane.This is a kind of very thin plastic film (polyurethane) that makes the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It has the advantage of being flexible, lightweight and breathable.
Layer design
3 layer design: The membrane is glued between the outer and inner fabric. We use it for durable and high-performing jackets
Component waterproofing
Laboratory tests are conducted to guarantee the waterproof rating of a component. To this end, the resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm (JIS 1092 standard).The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This product's component has a 25,000 mm waterproof rating and can withstand the pressure of a 25,000 mm water column. This is also equivalent to 25000 Schmerbers.
Water resistance of the jacket
We conduct laboratory tests that simulate rainfall scenarios in order to guarantee the jacket's waterproof rating. This garment has been validated in a shower test under 18 cm rain for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a mountain storm.
Breathability
Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET). This is its capacity to let water vapour generated by the body during physical activity escape and therefore avoid water accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. How to restore the water-repellent properties
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. The fabric does not soak up water and therefore remains lightweight and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment. The water-repellent property can be reactivated by putting the jacket in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes on low heat.You can also use the waterproof spray (ref 8554908)
