Lots of compartments to store your belongings. Closures that hold everything in place. And best of all, the material and comfort of the straps. Which makes it a practical and pleasant bag for traveling by train.
What is very good: - the compartmentalization - the comfort of the shoulder straps and the belt - the transfer of weight on the hips allowed by the belt - the solidity of the exterior canvas To improve: - the unequal length of the straps - the adjustment of the straps which relax when you carry the bag - the zipper of the exterior water bottle pocket which gets stuck - difficult to adjust the bag to have the belt in the right position on the hips if you are less than 1m80 => it missing an adjustable back
A little too small for my needs as the inside separated compartments reduces total space. Good waist belt and exterior pockets, rain cover and locking zippers are great features.

exactly what I dreamed of
I have just returned from an 8-day motorcycle roadtrip in the Nepalese Himalayas. The bag hangs easily on the motorcycle rack with its rectangular shape and numerous straps. We just have to secure it with a tensioner and that's it. The raincover provided waterproofs the bag against water but also against dust (which is very present in Nepal). After an hour of driving in the rain, my belongings were dry. I had enough capacity to fit 8 days of clothes in there in addition to a motorcycle backpack, flip-flops and a large k-way. In addition, the bag fits as cabin luggage and its ventral strap helps relieve weight when carrying on the back. A very well thought out bag, which withstood the harsh Nepalese climate without any problem. It was the second time I took him on a motorcycle ROadtrip and he became my best friend. Thank you Decathlon for this great bag, I actually bought 3 for my family haha)

We traveled every day with this bag for 5 months, it never let us go. He went in cabin baggage, sometimes in the hold, sometimes on the roof of tuk-tuks. In short, it has traveled the world with us and we will continue to use it.

Begin by adjusting the lumbar belt. The bag's weight should sit mainly on your hips. Then tighten the shoulder straps to bring the bag's weight towards your back. Attach and tighten the chest strap then tighten the smaller straps above the shoulders so that the back sits perfectly on your back.

How to maintain your travel 500 backpack
- Empty the bag completely- Remove the foam and frames from your backpack if possible and if you are sure you are able to put them back again afterwards- Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any dust from the bag and the zips- Put the bag in a bath, shower or a wash basin- Use a stiff-bristle brush or a sponge if you have a small backpack- Wash the bag with soapy water and scrub any stains.
