Sea Otter Classic 2024 Scratch Off Giveaway Terms & Conditions (“Rules”)

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.  BY ENTERING AND/OR PARTICIPATING IN THIS SCRATCH-OFF GIVEAWAY AS DESCRIBED HEREUNDER, YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES.

  1. Eligibility: This scratch-off is open only to those who attend the Sea Otter Classic 2024 Festival (“Festival”) and are 18 years and older as of the entry date. The scratch-off giveaway is only open to legal residents of the continental United States and is void where prohibited by law. The scratch-off giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Participant (“You”) agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor (as identified in these Rules) as final and binding as they relate to the content and operation of this scratch-off giveaway.
  3. Scratch-off Period: Entries will be accepted only during the event days for the period of April 18-21, 2024.
  4. How to Enter the Scratch-off: You MUST complete the following steps to enter the scratch-off:
    1. Participants will be given a scratch-off card by a Decathlon Booth Staff Member during the Festival. Participants will scratch off the concealed area on the card, revealing the corresponding prize. 
    2. Bring the scratch-off card to the VAN RYSEL booth located at S500 to redeem one of the three gift items mentioned on the scratch-off card.
    3. Complete the redemption form at the booth with your name, email address, location, and mobile number. 
    4. You may only enter the scratch-off once during the event. If You use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your entry may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.  
  5. Prizes: The scratch-off winner(s) will receive one of the three prizes mentioned on the scratch-off card as follows:
    1. Van Rysel branded cycling cap
    2. Quechua insulated water bottle (Black: 8640739, Green: 8640740, Orange: 8641519) - The winner can select the color while supplies last.
    3. NH100 20L Backpack - Black - 8754109
  6. Winner Selection and Notification: Participants can win only one (1) prize in exchange for completing the redemption form under the supervision of the Sponsor’s staff.
    1. Odds: All Participants have an equal chance of winning, as only one entry per participant is permitted. The odds of winning depend on the total number of valid entries received.
    2. Winners must be physically present to claim their prize.
    3. Prizes will be delivered to the Winner(s) immediately on-site. 
    4. Prizes can't be exchanged for cash and/or another product. 
  7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: BY ENTERING, YOU AGREE TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS DECATHLON AMERICA AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, PARTNERS, REPRESENTATIVES, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, AND DIRECTORS FROM ANY LIABILITY, ILLNESS, INJURY, DEATH, LOSS, LITIGATION, CLAIM, OR DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, WHETHER CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE OR NOT, FROM: (I) SUCH ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE SCRATCH-OFF AND/OR HIS/HER ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE OR ANY PORTION THEREOF; (II) TECHNICAL FAILURES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE MALFUNCTION OF ANY COMPUTER, CABLE, NETWORK, HARDWARE, OR SOFTWARE, OR OTHER MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT; (III) THE UNAVAILABILITY OR INACCESSIBILITY OF ANY TRANSMISSIONS, TELEPHONE, OR INTERNET SERVICE; (IV) UNAUTHORIZED HUMAN INTERVENTION IN ANY PART OF THE ENTRY PROCESS OR THE SCRATCH-OFF GIVEAWAY; (V) ELECTRONIC OR HUMAN ERROR IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE SCRATCH-OFF GIVEAWAY OR THE PROCESSING OF ENTRIES.
  8. Personal Data: You hereby authorize Decathlon America to collect, record, use, and reuse your Personal Data to send emails, solicit feedback from You, including through surveys, send marketing communications and promotional material, or provide information about promotions and products of Decathlon America. If you are a Winner of this scratch-off giveaway, You further authorize Decathlon to publish or disclose your Personal Data as part of a winner’s list as permitted or required by applicable law.
  9. Disputes: THIS SCRATCH-OFF GIVEAWAY IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES.
