WEAR

Good bag BUT: it should be noted that there is worrying wear on the bag's envelope at the level of contact with the belt at the lumbar level. Serious reinforcement should be provided at this point. Could my Decathlon store do something to prevent this from getting worse? I think that we find this same defect on all Symbium bags; the belt being an attached part not sewn to the body of the bag. Obviously particularly for the larger models which carry more load. Thank you for your response

Backpack

Very comfortable and easy to pack.

For me it's perfect

The only one I found that had everything I needed (and even more, as it turned out). The price was high, but I think it was justified. The workmanship, capacity, practicality, comfort, design, everything is right. I hope it serves as long as possible.

The backpack deforms, does not hold the face, the inner plastic reinforcement is too thin, the strap and Velcro that holds the back system are slowly tearing off, and I only had it three times on the road in the city to move, for the price the backpack is totally worth it.. .. . On the first impression, when you buy it, you feel that it is a perfect backpack, it only took a few moves and I am completely disgusted with it, moreover, it is not even produced in green, and the one that is produced is only in the 100L version. I will be forced to sell it again and buy a military one, not this one for the price of 4,500. The backpack does not reduce the weight for which it is sewn. The older versions seem to me to be of much better quality... The best thing about Tom is that even the YouTube reviews of this backpack are lying, fake reviews for money and not real tests..

A great trekking backpack

I definitely recommend it. Also, you don't need to buy an extra raincoat cover, it comes with its own one from the bottom compartment.

good but...

Please rethink the design and bring out a symmetrical version of it. This would be perfect. I have nothing against the cut, the materials, the choice of colors and the general comfort. But as a left-handed person, I just can't wear this model. The bottle holder also seems out of place. Depending on the length of the bottle or the shape of the carrier, it bumps into something and becomes uncomfortable. Please rethink this concept. I think that many of your backpacks are too geared towards right-handed people.

Backpack

Great backpack and extremely comfortable! Despite the lack of a car I am in. I can pack myself and my daughter for a few days of wild camping and I can carry her on my shoulders when her strength is gone! Convenience, comfort, capacity!

Does the job!

Used during a 7-day trek on the GR54, nothing to report. I would have liked a completely waterproof compartment for the rest so that I could temporarily store my wet things.

Mountain backpack to improve

It's a great backpack, but it's a bit fragile (it doesn't hold up well to scratches from vegetation or dirt). Perfect in terms of volume and compartments.

The best

The product is the best in its class, it has a very high quality, durable fabric, it will last a lifetime.

Weakness of the bag

After having done 130 km and 1500 m of elevation gain on GR34 The bag showed weaknesses in the zippers of the pockets on the waist belt And the closure buckle of the waist belt It is slightly twisted causing the buckle to jump The cushions at the level of the adjustment buckles lack a little width and length Discomfort of the plastic buckles on the pelvis Otherwise very good bag

good hiking bag for backpacking

good bag, but a bit expensive

Effective

A backpack that is comfortable to wear because it is well balanced. Easy to use with double opening (top + zipper) of the main pocket.

What is symbium technology?

Symbium technology is all about optimising the structure of the waist belt and shoulder straps. This prevents the backpack from swinging around, which wears out the trekker.

How was this 70 l trekking bag made?

The Symbium trekking bag is built to withstand over time: - Durable main fabric, also added to the side pockets and the most prone to wear. - The assembly of the various parts of this bag has been tested to withstand high tension, particularly when it is filled, or to be manipulated repeatedly.- Redesigned zip thickness to improve strength and durability.- Repairable bag: spare parts available.

What are the advantages of the wooden structure on this trekking backpack?

The construction of these wooden bars is stronger than traditional aluminium bars. They are resistant to moisture thanks to an external varnish.

Is this trekking bag repairable?

The MT900 Symbium bag is ultra-durable but will not last forever. That is why we have developed a range of spare parts to make it last for longer: - Shoulder straps- Waist belt- Waist belt's foam pad- Elastic bands- Buckles- Rain coverFind all the information in the after-sales support section (bottom of the page).

What are the dimensions of this 70 l trekking backpack?

Height : 30.3''Width: 18.9''Depth: 14.9''

How long is the back and what is the circumference of the waist belt on this trekking backpack?

Back length (in centimetres and inches): - Minimum: 35 cm / 14 in -Maximum: 54 cm / 21 in To determine your back length, measure the distance between the two following points:- Your 7th cervical vertebra: the one at the base of your neck, which arches when you tilt your head downwards. - Your iliac crest: top of your hip Belt circumference:- Minimum: 72.9 cm / 29 in -Maximum: 136 cm / 54 in

Product testing

Several laboratory tests were carried out to test the strength of the MT900 Symbium rucksack:- Martindale tests to assess resistance to abrasion- tearing tests (seams)- fatigue tests on the compression of the foam- durability tests and flex of the wood structure (around the back of the bag).
