Product Customer Reviews

Very light and warm, practical
This jacket was coasted around 6k but after one wash it got damaged. My whole money goes wasted 😐
Very satisfied !
nothing to say good quality
Down jacket purchased at the end of January 2023. I had the opportunity to use it twice, during a trek and during a trip. Very satisfied with the product! Down jacket which perfectly met my expectations (warm, comfortable and aesthetic). On the other hand, big downside regarding the lifespan of the product... I had to wash it following my last trip. I scrupulously followed the washing and drying instructions, but unfortunately the feathers did not appreciate it, and my down jacket did not regain its fluffiness... I recommend this product, only if you think you will not have the wash ^^
Bought to replace my Queschua down jacket which had lived well
Alright
Purchased for my Tour de Mont Blanc backpacking trip and luckily only needed it once. But then he was very welcome. Nice and warm. And light, which is nice in the already heavy backpack.
A very beautiful fitted jacket which brings a touch of elegance despite its down jacket look. Clearly of quality, to see over time if the feather does not shrivel. It is very light and feels warm, which is a pleasure. The only downside is the price..... Quality has to be paid for, of course, but for decathlon I admit that it's expensive, I left a little kidney there 🤣
Easy to store when you go hiking or cycling
Warm
A very pretty down jacket, which goes everywhere (city outfit as well as sportswear).
Comfortable, light weight and price according to size.excellent
Does its job but the top of the jacket still gives a Michelin man effect
I love my down jacket. Above all, do not forget when you wash it to put 3 tennis balls in the Drum and then put it in the dryer and always with the balls.

How warm is this padded jacket?
This padded jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 14°F (-10°C) during a standardised test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3.1 mi/h wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. Its comfort temperature is 32°F (0°C) in this case.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?
The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to ”trap” air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.

What is rds certification?
RDS or “Responsible Down Standard” is a worldwide certification issued by an independent organisation to volunteer brands. This standard enables us to guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers commit to using only feathers from geese and ducks raised for their meat and slaughtered before down and feathers are collected.
The eco-design actions carried out on this down jacket
The lining of the inner lining is innovative because it is two-toned. Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this impact on the environment, we use only mass pigmentation of one yarn out of every two (Bi-ton), and thus reduce our consumption and our impact on water. The outer fabric is made of recycled polyester.
How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 86°F (30°C), with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
Product testing
In November 2021, 4 independent female Forclaz backpackers and 2 members of Forclaz are tested this down jacket for 3 days of backpacking up to 9842 ft altitude near Chamonix, in the Mont Blanc Country. The feedback given to us after this test let us validate this down jacket for mountain trekking.
