very comfortable

Return after almost a year of use. I had left a negative review on the SRAM transmission. The speed on the small sprocket no longer wanted to shift after barely 100 km of use and the transmission was making noise. Return to the store where I picked up my bike 15 days later and a change of chain because the previous one, probably of poor quality, was already worn. Bad chain, I don't know but since the return the transmission no longer makes noise and the gears shift by themselves. So I come back to the negative review that I had given on a much more than positive review. Certainly the wheels are a little heavy. As for the price, bought in December 2023 on sale at 2700 euros and last week it was on sale again at 2250 euros.... the impression of having been had, no? Maybe a good gift card from Decathlon to compensate for the price? apart from that, it is a very good and beautiful bike. I recommend.

RIVERSIDE GCR CARBON GRAVEL BIKE

The bike is good, a little heavy for a carbon bike. The gears work really well, I really like the SRAM RIVAL ETAP AXS system. The problem is that Decathlon sells bikes and then they don't have gel inner tubes for them, which is the case with this one, as I don't like tubeless bikes, I've had some punctures.

Well to be confirmed

Bike delivered and assembled in store, good contact with bike team. Only ridden 70km for this review. Riding only mountain bike I am surprised by the good level of comfort, probably the tires and the riding position, amazed by the transmission, we play with the speeds, only 3 * on performance because tires inflated to 2.5b during my test; otherwise some deviations / presentation on website. What is the warranty on this product => web page "frame for life", paper stuck on bike on delivery "for life except the frame but we don't know how long", verbally by technician "frame 5 years" and on invoice "2 years" !!!! Chain noise on the 2 largest sprockets, not abnormal according to the technician, it will sort itself out!! WEIGHT on the same page of the site... This RIVAL / RR9 configuration (without pedals, excluding preventative liquid) weighs approximately: GCR Rival/RR9 S: 8.8 Kg GCR Rival/RR9 M: 8.9 Kg GCR Rival/RR9 L: 9.0 Kg. GCR Rival/RR9 XL: 9.1 Kg. Weight 8.5 kg ?? What degree of confidence in the information on the site?

Very good bike

Very good value for money. Light, dynamic. Be careful to remember to check the derailleur battery regularly.

Fast reliable

It turns out to be very fast used on various types of terrain even rough paths, I did the Francigena bike Adventure 7000 meters of altitude difference 440 km a route equal for 90% to the mountain bike with a bike paking those of Decathlon under the saddle and on the front handlebars where in size m it touches the Wheel but ok. Dirt roads, rocks, mud, rain perfect result it made me have a great adventure. In my opinion with a little attention it can go everywhere.

after two years of experience

After two years of experience, I am very satisfied with the value for money. Contrary to some comments, I find the SRAM Rival AXS XPLR very reliable, even more reliable than the SRAM Force on my road bike. The reliability of the transmission is great if you take care to do regular updates with the SRAM application and to clean and grease the chain at each outing. A small downside for the FULCRUM wheels which are efficient but too heavy to take full advantage of the nervousness of the frame. This bike has nothing to envy other models like Specialized or Cervélo sometimes 2 or 3 times more expensive. An unbeatable value for money in my opinion.

A high-performance bike, but reliability could be improved

Bike bought at the end of April, 600 km traveled since. This gravel is clearly efficient, rather comfortable, easy to bring and offers good acceleration. The quality/price ratio seems clearly unbeatable to me in terms of performance and equipment. Be careful about reliability however with already an immobilizing failure on the derailleur. In short, beautiful product and very nice to ride, but remember to keep a solid bike to go out during the repair phases which promise to be long and numerous.

I had a problem

A month after purchase, the carbon frame split at the seat tube without going on rough paths. Since the frame was under warranty, Decathlon replaced it without any problem. When I came back from the repair shops, there was a written comment on the return slip informing me that the maximum tire size is 42 cm, but my bike is mounted in 45 cm. However, I did not change my tires, everything is original. I do not find that very reassuring about the seriousness of the assembly, there was obviously an error during assembly. I am also now a little afraid of riding on gravel paths for fear that the frame will break again, it is rather unfortunate for a Gravel. For the rest I have nothing to say, it is an excellent bike.

Service in case of a defect is abysmal

The bike itself is a great piece of equipment and leaves nothing to be desired. Now, after less than two months, the rear brake calliper is leaking and despite email requests taking 72 hours to process, I've been waiting over a week and nothing has happened despite further emails! The bike is unusable. Unfortunately, there is no longer any telephone support, which makes such small problems become big ones. The bike can be recommended, but the service in the event of a problem is not.

High quality gravel

I have been using the bike for a month and a half and it appears to perform very well on rough dirt roads and dirt. Nervous and satisfying even on complex mountain climbs and descents.

Superb bike, best value…

Superb bike, best value for money considering the equipment. Coming from mountain biking, more enduro, the relaunches are incredible even if it obviously hits more than a full suspension. The range of the single chainring transmission is excellent, it climbs well and develops well and the limit becomes the "big" Gravel tires (and the muscular energy that I provide :)) and it obviously goes slower than a road on bitumen, but what versatility. I rediscover the pleasure of pedaling
