Product Customer Reviews
I've been using the Ti900 for over a year now and I am nothing but happy! The frame is sized quite well and the components choice is quite good for a gravel bike. I did some updates to make it more suitable for the road, but still the bike feels at home when the tarmac ends. The bike rides easy and is quite comfortable, the maintenance is a hassle free. I had no problems with the bike whatsoever. And it is, in my eyes, always the prettiest in the group. Especially when equipped for bikepacking. As Decathlon tried hard to bring the price down, there are a few corners cut: - there is no excess of mounting points - you don't get to mount a top bag, bottom (3rd) bottle nor bike rack for panniers. - the front fork is a bit wide around the through axle and that makes it a bit more laborious when mounting the front wheel. Final verdict: highly recommended! :)
After 4000km with diverse and varied road conditions, the bike is a real pleasure to ride. Comfortable, dynamic and responsive. Responsiveness further improved with the replacement of the single chainring by a double. For my part, it is the best bike I have had the leisure to ride. A big thank you to the Decathlon after-sales service who took charge of my bike for a problem with the alignment of the rear wheel. When the bike returned, the frame was changed and it was delivered to me with my settings for which I had taken a little time to refine. Thank you for your professionalism.
Gravel bike to try! Really a great bike, which goes everywhere! Mounted with 40 Tundra tires (42mm with studs), it rides perfectly well! Whether on committed single or on the road, it brings a lot of pleasure with incredible comfort. Tested in Brittany for a few weeks (rain and mud +++), I recommend it!
Italian titanium, French design: this gravel is perfect for long rides outside the city. A comfortable bike for asphalt and safe for off-road.
An excellent Tiitane Gravel with an unrivaled quality-price ratio on the market. The GRX group is very efficient. I recommend demanding riders to change the wheels. Since I equipped it with Carbon Zipp 30 wheels, the bike has gained in performance without losing comfort!
The Triban GRVL 900 is a really good bike, comfortable and pleasant to use, I really like it for its versatility. However, there is one point that disappoints me: the absence of eyelets on the top tube and under the frame, in particular to fix a bag at the top and a tool bottle at the bottom. For a bike intended for travel and bikepacking, it is really a shame. It could have been perfect.
Several points to share: 1 - the quality of customer service Thanks to Damien or Romain (I'm not sure about the first name...) from the Bois SĂ©nart store who let me examine his own bike from every angle Thanks to the 2 "customer service" contacts who helped me finalize my online order Thanks to the delivery man, punctual and pleasant 2 - The "perceived quality" Homogeneous set, very well-made frame, perfect assembly and adjustments 3 - the dynamic qualities First 80km outing (rolling surface) and the sensations are amazing = comfortable and efficient, with a little inertia when restarting (probably the weight of the wheel) and easy rolling once launched; the GRX is efficient (despite the mix) and should be enough in 1x11 for my program (hiking and bike-packing) 4 - the areas for improvement (normal given the quality-price-performance ratio) The saddle (basic but acceptable with quality shorts); the wheels (certainly sturdy, but VERY heavy = high inertia); the peripherals (stem, handlebars, seat post) In conclusion: delighted!
I've been riding the bike for over a year and I'm still very happy with it. The frame is simply great, even if the welds aren't particularly well-made. The components are also well chosen, even if not all of them are perfect. The gravel can handle anything on relaxed bike tours and not-so-tough trails. Pretty much all of the parts on the bike have been replaced according to my own needs, except for the frame set and gears/brakes. In my opinion, the handlebars should definitely be replaced with handlebars with less drop, as this gives you significantly more control off-road. A shorter crank (172.5) is also advisable with the short wheelbase. And if your wallet allows it; the wheels are extremely heavy and not very snappy, that would be the next upgrade, which offers a lot of added value. Otherwise, very solid components such as the GRX Mix and the great fork. Geo is comfortable and you feel equally comfortable on tours and trails. It doesn't do anything perfectly, but it does a lot right. If you spend a few euros on personal modifications, you get a good titanium gravel at a fair price. I am personally so happy with the frameset (I just love it) that I invested well over 2000€ extra in components. +Frame and fork +Component selection +Geometry +Lifetime warranty 0 Wheels (solid but sluggish and heavy) -Handlebar -Crank (175 too long for the wheelbase size M)
This is the first titanium bike I have bought and I chose the Decathlon gravel bike because of the reasonable price and the build quality. I am really surprised by the care that was taken in assembling the bike when I unpacked it from the box. Everything is perfect; the brakes and derailleur work perfectly. The bike behaves very well both on the road and on the trails. I am not only satisfied but really delighted with this Decathlon bike that I warmly recommend. I thank the entire Decathlon team for allowing me to have such a bike.
From steel to aluminum then carbon, here I am finally with a Titanium Gravel! What a joy, a bike designed in France with a frame made by Italian Maestros whose reputation is well established. The GRVL 900 is simply amazing in terms of its comfort, performance and standard equipment, well done Decathlon! I almost put the Holy Grail because I would have liked a threaded housing instead of the Press Fit, other French brands offer it for an equivalent price. The frames are certainly Asian but the bottom brackets are threaded and for me this bike deserves it. A big thank you to the cycle technicians at Decathlon Nevers Marzy where I ordered and received this bike and well done to the parent company for shipping it before the scheduled date. Best regards Pascal
This bike is really not bad. Tested for the moment on half-day outings up to 80km and it holds up well. The only small problem I have is the chain rubbing on the adjacent sprocket of the cassette when you are on the smallest sprockets (the workshop tells me that this is normal on 1x11... I don't have this problem on another bike in Sram Apex 1x11 but hey... I will try to put a Shimano chain when the original KMC is worn, we will see if that solves the problem) The saddle is also, for me, catastrophic. Extremely narrow, with foam that is too soft which causes pain over time (a harder saddle would be better with shorts), and without a lowered area in the middle to reduce pressure on the perineum. It was very quickly replaced for me by a Brooks B17 which had already been broken in on another bike, and it immediately becomes much more comfortable. On a bike at this price it's a shame to have such a poor saddle as standard equipment. In terms of things that could be improved (I hope the Triban team reads and takes this into account): - Use a UDH standard derailleur hanger. It's a great titanium frame, which I hope will last a lifetime, and it's a shame to know that if I break the derailleur hanger, and I don't have one stored, the frame becomes unusable if Decathlon no longer sells it (the workshop tells me that they guarantee to supply it for 10 years... that's too little). So I'm going to buy some regularly to store 3-4 in the hope that it will be enough for the life of the frame. Really a shame. - Add two eyelets on the top tube for a small bag. It probably doesn't cost much to make, but having a nice stable top tube bag for snacks and phone would be a HUGE plus - Change the PF bottom bracket to a T47 or BSA68. Same reason more or less as for the derailleur hanger, this is a frame that will hopefully last a lifetime, I'd like a threaded bottom bracket standard for more durability - The fork eyelets are slightly tilted back, so any bottle cage or bag mounted on it will be facing backwards and won't be in line with the bike, it's not very pretty, it ruins the aero even more, and there's no real reason to do it like that. Again I can understand the 2 vs 3 eyelets (even if 3 would be much better), but the tilt I have trouble - Here we go a little further, and it is not really necessary, but it would be good to have eyelets for luggage rack at the back. It would allow to mount for example a Tailfin system (it does not seem to pass on the axle with the way the legs are made).
Fabulous! Very light and unique fun
Top titanium gravel bike
A versatile bike that could have gone further in its design. The TRIBAN 900Ti is not, in my opinion, a competition bike. It was more developed for travel, long comfortable outings. I very rarely venture onto the trails, practicing almost exclusively on the road, in cycle touring mode. That's why I shod it with continental GP 4 seasons 32mm. Thus, on hilly roads, it allows the traveler to go on for miles without fearing the slope of the road. At almost 2000 kms including flat cycling, Vosges outings and the Grandes Alpes road, I remember: - good filtration of roughness, - precise and lively steering - a feeling of traction, even if less nervous than carbon - a precise transmission but difficult to adjust, the single chainring generates noise on the smallest developments. - the wheels satisfy me, especially the rear freewheel. - simple maintenance - additional eyelets would have given it more versatility and convenience at little cost (luggage rack, horizontal tube, diagonal tube) - the handlebars with a pronounced drop and a slight flare did not disorient me too much compared to my previous handlebars, more road type. - The speed staging is successful for my use. - The assembly of this Italian frame is perfect. It's always a pleasure to get on this bike, for a race to the other side of the village or for a trip to the other side of the country. Thanks to Grégoire de St Omer for his valuable advice: he saved my project! No doubt I will cross other mountain ranges on this beautiful machine!
Excellent bike at an unbeatable price.
