Product Customer Reviews
Light, warm and aesthetic sleeveless jacket. It fits normally…I recommend as mid-season clothing
I bought two MT500 down jackets in black and black/brown, unfortunately the black/brown model did not hold up to washing. However, I followed the instructions carefully. On the black model, no worries, the down jacket has returned to its initial shape. Really disappointed! the down jacket (brown model) is unusable, the down inside remains in a bundle even once completely dry. It's surprising to see such a glaring difference in quality between two products of the same reference.
pleasantly surprised
Very complicated washing. Mentioning washing prohibited would be less misleading......too bad
Very comfortable. Good quality
Excellent
Take the water repellency rating with a grain of salt, but it's a vest, but it can handle a little rain just fine. The vest is very light and it comes with a small bag that you can probably stuff it into, I haven't tried it myself. It has a large loop behind the neck, so it hangs well on a hanger at home. There are handy eyelets on the zipper sliders, so the vest is easy to fasten/unfasten. It is warm enough, of course it depends on what you wear and how long your sleeve is, I use it myself up to approx. 4 °C.
Very good product
Highly breathable, light and comfortable. Quality product at an affordable price
Super happy with my choice, warm and comfortable
Very good down jacket. Very hot. To see how it holds up over time to see how it holds up to the first wash.

Composition
Filling: 85.0% Grey Duck Down, 15.0% Grey Duck Feather ; Lining: 100.0% Polyamide ; Main fabric: 100.0% Polyester
Why wear a down vest?
A vest helps to keep the body warm. It protects the chest, neck and kidneys from the cold, as these areas are especially sensitive to chills. It is sleeveless so it saves weight in your backpack, provides even more breathability during exercise and excellent comfort of movement when worn under a jacket.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports:- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers- Ultra low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack- Ultra-compressible
Inflating power of down/feather filling
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. For this sleeveless down vest, with its 85% down/15% feather filling, the fill power is guaranteed to be 660 CUIN or more (international standard).
What is rds certification?
RDS or “Responsible Down Standard” is a worldwide certification issued by an independent organisation to volunteer brands. This standard enables us to guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers commit to using only feathers from geese and ducks raised for their meat and slaughtered before down and feathers are collected.

How to care for a down and feather vest?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency. Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 86°, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin between 800 and 1000 rpm. 2/ - Tumble dry on cotton mode with 2 or 3 tennis balls, repeat 2 or 3 times until dry.
A snag? here's how to repair your sleeveless padded vest
A tear on a padded vest can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or feathers from escaping.Don't you feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry! Some Decathlon workshops offer an in-store repair service to mend your sleeveless padded vest using a heat-bonded patch.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it during prolonged exposure to the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded vest, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimizes its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
