Very satisfied with the product, I should have bought it sooner

Merino boxer

Very good quality boxers, warm and pleasant to wear. I use them when it's too warm for long thermal leggings. They fulfill their function perfectly and do not emit an unpleasant smell. I recommend!

great shorts

Excellent for the price. A bit narrow and tight waist (tight rubber), but otherwise OK. I wear it on hikes, when traveling. I have one for maybe two years, they last a long time, I bought another one.

Good for cycling

Good cycling shorts, they never smelled like any of my synthetic underwear. I use them under my enduro pants in temperatures around 5-8 degrees - great, no chafing or sweating. With thick Forclaz pants they sweat a little and you can barely feel them chafing, but I had no signs of chafing after 80 km, so they work better for me than cycling diapers.

That would have been nice…

It would have been nice to have the elastic covered with cotton or wool to avoid having polyurethane (a petroleum-derived polymer) against your skin all day long, whereas probably, if you're looking for this type of material (wool), you're also aware of avoiding that too... It's a shame to lower the quality of a product just because you reflexively thought that elastic was like that, when you could also cover it (it's also prettier). 5 stars if you reduce shareholder profits in order to reduce the price of the product, or add wool around the elastic! And yes, it's quite an advanced opinion, I know, but luckily I'm here, it's for all our good!

Additional Product Information

Composition

Main fabric: 86.0% Wool, 4.0% Elastane, 10.0% Polyamide

Sizing and fit

These boxers have a fitted cut for enhanced moisture transfer to the outside of the fabric.

How have we enhanced the durability of our boxers made with merino wool?

We have used a BETA-SPUN yarn structure in which the polyamide threads coat the Merino wool fibres and protect them from rubbing and breaking without affecting their properties.

Tip before use

To make the component feel softer, don't hesitate to wash your boxers before first use.

How to wash your merino wool boxers

We recommend that you machine wash your Trek 500 Merino boxers at 30°C on a normal cycle, preferably with liquid detergent. Dry flat and NEVER tumble dry unless you want it to shrink by one or two sizes! For more information: https://support.decathlon.co.uk/how-to-maintain-a-merino-wool-garment

Product testing

These boxers have been tested and validated in the field in real-life conditions. They were worn for 5 weeks in spring 2019 by several people who went trekking in the Canary Islands for 2 weeks, followed by 3 weeks on the GR10 route in the Pyrenees.
