Comfortable for long walks. Always wear high socks and not ankle boots

I'm a woman…

I'm a 59 year old woman and I wanted an inexpensive pair of shoes for walking in water. Having found nothing in size 38 in the women's section, I opted for these in the children's section. I walked 12 km in the water and am not disappointed by the product. Comfort and low price

Additional Product Information

Composition

Outer sole of: 100.0% Styrene Butadiene Styrene ; Upper of: 50.0% Polyurethane, 50.0% Polyester ; Lining and sock of: 50.0% Polyester, 50.0% Ethylene Vinyl Acetate

Sole grip

The grip of our soles is certified. To be awarded certification, the shoes must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip rate (0.6 for this model) on different surfaces (smooth, rugged, dry, wet). To validate these tests, we also assess the quality of our soles on the field, in the mountains, by a panel of young testers.

Which size should you select?

For hiking, do not hesitate to buy 1 size larger than the usual size to guarantee excellent comfort on the descent and to avoid toes rubbing at the tip of the boot. Tip: Keep your toenails short, and before going downhill at any time, check that your laces are tight enough to stop your feet from slipping down toward the front of the shoes.

Buying tips

Allow kids to try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Check 2 comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying shoes on. Gradually start using your shoes during your 1st few hiking trips to break them in. You can find and print the pedometer and check the length of your kid's foot.

Removable insole

Removable insole for faster drying. It can also be replaced by an orthopedic insole.

Our environmental approach

Because we are aware that we must act to preserve our playground, Quechua is committed to limiting the environmental impact of its products. Today, this product is not eco-designed, but we work every day to make it more responsible: Eco-design, repairability, and durability are at the heart of our development process.

Product testing

Our design team is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we create and develop products that are beautiful, simple, and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field, as we remain convinced that only through rigorous testing under real world conditions, like the ones you will be using them in, can we continue to provide you with better products than ever.
