Great article
Product of lower quality than expected, the first wash shrinks and pills appear on the outer fabric.
It is a very useful, fresh, good quality and aesthetic product.
Well, I haven't been able to check the vest yet. It is intended to be worn underwear in winter. But it is light and thin, just the way I wanted it to have more freedom of movement.

Recycled polyester
By recycling plastic bottles or second-hand textiles to produce our polyester, we have reduced the utilisation of oil-based resources while preserving the quality and performance of the material during your mountain hikes.
Dope-dyeing
Bulk dyeing or “dope dyeing” incorporates the pigments during the thread manufacture. This technique reduces the environmental impact compared to standard dyeing which takes place once the thread forms a fabric. This requires more water consumption and pollution. Our MH120 black fleece gilet uses this dyeing process.
Guaranteed life span of 2 years
We test the ageing of our hiking fleeces to guarantee their durability. We guarantee:- the abrasion resistance of the backpack and the arms in movement, so that the pilling associated with this material is delayed - the strength of the seams- the resistance of the fleece material after 3 washes- colour-fastness after washing, when exposed to UV or contact with perspiration.
Where do our fleeces come from?
Created in our international design centre at the foot of the Mont Blanc in France, this fleece is then manufactured and assembled by our suppliers in Vietnam and Bangladesh.We collaborate closely with these partners who have real expertise in the manufacture of our fleeces. Thanks to this relationship of trust with our industrial partners, we can create high-quality technical products.
Product design: our expertise
Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location makes it a real meeting place for our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc) and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A great asset for designing quality products for your mountain hikes, and providing you with all our expertise.
Product testing
Our Decathlon Sportslab laboratory, based in Lille, also contributes to the innovation and development of our Quechua products. It brings together 4 themes, each with their own area and technological tools: Morphology (particularly thanks to 3D analysis) Science of movementThermal comfort (with its four environmental chambers) Behavioural and sensory sciences. Our fleeces are all tested on thermal mannequins using a standardised test.
