Too bad I waited almost…

Too bad to have waited almost 3 months for this bike, the season is almost over

Top...it's fun

Only the saddle is something you have to get used to. Let's see...maybe I'll replace it.

Very poor tire choice

There is nothing to say about the frame and equipment of the bike. Very balanced and enjoyable. Apex gear shifts and gear ratios are also sufficient. Braking performance is also satisfactory. It is a very satisfactory bike in terms of price / performance. But I don't know if it just happened to me. Dude, will the tire burst 6 times in just 10 km? !!!! This is a gravel bike. At the end, it's nice to have the valve in our hand while pumping air...

Great bike.

(6 months of use) 1m82 85 kg Use: 30% road 70% path/forest I love this bike, the Sram Apex transmission is a gem, it's fluid, fast, no chain skipping, you can go down the speeds in bursts of 2-3 or 4 depending on the pressure. The hydro-mecha brakes are perfect, almost identical to 100% hydraulic. The stem is 2-3 cm too low for my size. Only two small defects, not very important, The saddle is not comfortable (changed). And the pedals provided are really bad, in the trash after the first ride, any flat pedals will be much better. No regrets, and for the price it's impossible to find as good or better elsewhere.

Disappointed !

I bought this bike recently. My friend had purchased the 120 model a few months ago. We wanted to go tubeless. But despite their name, tubeless ready tires are not completely ready = all 4 wheels have leaks at the spokes! Big hassle for the replacement ... and obligatory passage to the workshop which took care of the after-sales service .... confiding to us that the problem is known internally and has already been reported to headquarters many times. Do not sell them tubeless ready if you do not put waterproof rim tape!!

Good bike, approximate preparation

Two returns to the workshop within three days to adjust the brakes. Which I ended up learning to do myself. Pedal hubs rust quickly. I had to change them, the thread had not been greased. Poor lighting and saddle. In short, a beautiful product a little sloppy in the finishes.

Doubtful

- Bike used for 4 months - velotaf/gravel Fair bike overall, the group does not disappoint, the geometry is pleasant and the choice of wheels is judicious. On the other hand, in 4 months of use (not intensive), I had to deal with: - a disastrous preparation of the bike (only the brakes were correctly adjusted and again, I talk about it in my next point) - a leak of brake fluid which made me change the whole kit on the second day of use (bad luck or defective series?) - my freewheel body on my rear wheel which loosened (in the middle of an event 👍) which therefore makes the bike unusable. After a little less than 1000 km done, for a bike at 1200 €, I find that there are a lot of inconsistencies, so I will see to return it.

grvl 520 apex 1

Average saddle.. wheel.. anvils.. perfect frame.. very clean apex 1 group. So, a Green X comfort saddle italia, a pair of GR 1600s... I'm having fun...

Everything is nickel … except the wheels

After only 900 km of use, the freewheel body failed...in the middle of a hike with panniers...I hope to find a solution to finish my journey

very good

the bike is really very good only when it will be size L again

Feedback after 1005km...

I have a long experience of practicing Road MTB Vélotaf on rather high-end bikes. I fell in love with this bike, which is my first Decathlon, because I wanted an all-purpose bike, especially for traveling and swinging it on the train without fear of scratching the paint... The specifications for the bike are top notch. On delivery, I took 2-3 adjustments that had been made incorrectly: handlebars turned "up" too much, twisted derailleur hanger, different brake clearance between the front and rear, wheels too tight (fasteners impossible to open by hand). I also switched to notubes and fitted Tubus auto pedals, rear and front racks. In use, I was particularly dubious about the rendering of the bike. It's super steep. The aluminum frame, the straight fork, and the fully tensioned shelving result in a bike that vibrates and jumps a lot, even loaded with panniers. I lowered the pressure to 1.5 at the front and 2 at the rear to obtain a better compromise and spare the headset as much as possible... Despite this stiffness, it doesn't return much and we're glued to the road (which seems to be inerrant to Gravel practice, according to friends). On the other hand, it exudes a reassuring side in terms of solidity and reliability. The brakes are great (considering that I use 200/180 on my MTB). The tires and wheels in 650 make it possible to rediscover the sensations of mountain biking in the 90s... In short, contrasting results but fulfilled contract. I am very happy with "my anvil"!

Gravel bike GRVL 520 SRAM Apex 1 TRIBAN

The bike works great. Driving on unpaved roads is pleasant. The bike met our expectations. Riding a gravel 520 bike is faster and brings us more joy than a traditional MTB. We are satisfied.

Gravel bike

I had paid € 50 more for delivery and to install certain accessories such as a wireless bicycle computer, but the person who had to deliver the bicycle could not set that + the normally supplied 2 keys for the bicycle to be adjusted were not present, so I paid € 50 for nothing.

Components and return policy

The poor quality of some components detracts from the overall experience of the bike. I've been using it for a few months (purchased in April 2023 and about ten outings since then) and already: the crankset squeaks, the gears shift badly, the brakes veil... Also, the 2-year legal warranty and the return policy free 365 days are part of a false marketing package since my store refuses to take it as a guarantee, and offers to buy it back from me for 850 euros used. Customer service doesn't say it better. I advise you to document more clearly on your site that your return policy is not applicable to your bikes. THANKS
