Question:

Is the fit - the suspension - adjustable? I'm 6-2

Answer:

We're happy to inform you that the torso length of the backpack is indeed adjustable to accommodate different body sizes, including yours at 6'2". To ensure a comfortable fit, it's essential to measure your torso length accurately. This measurement is the distance between your 7th vertebra (the prominent bone at the base of your neck) and your ilium (the top of your hip bones). Our backpack's adjustable torso length ranges from a minimum of 39 cm (15 inches) to a maximum of 51 cm (20 inches). Additionally, the waistband of the backpack is also adjustable to provide a snug fit around your waist. The waistband adjustment ranges from a minimum of 79 cm (31 inches) to a maximum of 136 cm (54 inches). Furthermore, the back panel of the backpack is adjustable with a release strap, making it easy and quick to customize the fit according to your preferences and body size. For the most comfortable and personalized fit, we recommend measuring your torso length and waist size using the provided guidelines before making your selection.

Perfect for wild camping and hiking

I bought this to follow Hadrians Wall from coast to coast and it was perfect. First of all, I could adjust all the straps so it sat fully on my waist and rode higher up my back how I like it. The waist belt pockets fit my phone and other bits and are large enough, and any bigger would be too big. The bottle pockets are good and I prefer the mesh one as smaller bottles can slip out the bottom of the other one so I just put a larger bottle in. The long side zip pockets fit plenty of flatter things eg one side had my lightweight camp chair, and the other side my stash bags eg first aid, clean kit, repair bag, poo kit, etc. The top pockets are huge on the lid so my cook kit and fuel etc. the bottom compartment takes my tent and a few other bits. You can open it up to join the rest of the bag but I like it easy access for my tent. The main compartment is smaller to allow for the curve of the back but to be honest I still love it and the main zip down the front should be on every bag! I don’t use the 3 compression straps inside that compartment as I just tuck things in snug and tight. The main thing is that it is soooo comfortable and was even on 20 mile days. It is so adjustable and well worth the money I paid.

premium . looks really good

very good workmanship and excellent color. good carrying system. if you are looking for 50l and are serious about carrying equipment - definitely worth considering and better than the cheaper offer

Perfect

Perfect companion for the GR20. Very comfortable, lots of useful and accessible storage, good resistance, nice look.

Almost perfect

This bag has all the qualities, however for it to be perfect in my opinion, the storage pocket on the bottom of the face of the bag (very practical pocket) must be more voluminous towards the outside of the bag (more rounded) which would allow you to put more objects in it. There are also the two straps on the sides of the bag which allow you to attach a foam mattress or a tent or other, the straps at the bottom should be higher to hold the thing more securely because the water bottles in the water bottle holders prevent it from being securely fixed in a balanced way. I give 9.5/10 for this and I am quite satisfied with this bag.

Very good bag, more than 200km of hiking on the clock

Great bag, very versatile, the fact of being able to open the separation between the lower part and the upper part brings a real added value in terms of internal storage if I can give a piece of advice do not put more than 1.5l to 2l in your back water pocket you will lose less space and you will have less risk when tightening, speaking of this one pay attention to the small gray clip below the bag, they tend to stick out their tongue if you put them under too much pressure.

Long-distance hiking backpack

Used for the GR 20, very satisfied with the number of compartments, the access on the front, the adjustments. This bag is really perfect for a multi-day hike

very good product

I have done several 4-day treks, whether in Cantal, Vosges, the Alps and even the Tour du Queyras in 6 days while being loaded with a little less than 13kg. This bag has never let me down. It is comfortable and offers several storage options. I would say that its only flaw is its basic weight but hey, given its price compared to the competition we will overlook it.

Good quality material. Multiple pockets.

Excellent bag for the…

Excellent bag for hiking on the move. Generous volume, practical openings, several storage pockets accessible without removing the bag. Carrying comfort, several possible adjustments depending on the morphology.

Overall it's a great backpack. Adjusting it well is super comfortable, the lumbar band distributes the weight very well on the pelvis. The shoulder straps and the back are very comfortable. Very versatile thanks to the external pocket, the side gussets, the hood and the tabs on the waistband. I also really like the internal compression system with the 3 straps. In my opinion the only flaw is the strong arching of the back which limits the storage space a bit.

A rather average and impractical bag

Used during the Stevenson Trail, a bag that quickly became painful for the shoulders and not easy to adjust despite several attempts. Straps that became unadjusted as you walked. Side compartments that were not very practical once the bag was full. In the end, quite disappointed and I would avoid using it next time because it was really not practical and painful.

The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in liters, with a margin of error of just a few %.

Weight

3.7 lbs. All inclusive.Weight of the removable rain cover 3.5 oz.

Air design

As with the MT900 UL line, the MT500 AIR range has a ventilated back structure with mesh fabric (net fabric) that helps the back to breathe and dries quickly. Rigidity is guaranteed by a reinforced frame. The back is adjustable with a release strap that’s easy and quick to use.

Recommended carry weight

According to the project for which this backpack was designed, we recommend you don’t load it above 33 lbs. Then you can benefit from all its features. Moreover, it’s not recommended to carry a load greater than 20-25% of your own weight and put too much pressure on your back.

How to pack a backpack?

Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Store your clothing around it. A groundsheet or tent can be placed under the flap or under the bag if there isn't room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment provided down the back.

How to use the multi-use straps?

The new range of MT500 AIR and MT900 UL bags has two straps with open aluminum buckles (on the lower part of the bag). These straps let you hook on a tent or mattress under the bag or on the barrel. If not in use, these straps can be stored (by pushing them inside) in the hidden pocket intended for this or detached and used elsewhere with the lark's head knot buckle.
