Good trekking jacket

I was lucky with the last piece. Very good jacket / windbreaker, breathable with the zips and good protection. The thumb passage in the sleeve is great.

Awesome Product...

I put on weight... I need another xl size. But it is discontinued now.

Windbreaker that can do better.

seams that are starting to come undone, and pockets that are made of mesh and are getting holes or tears with normal use.

The only regret and…

The only regret is the black fabric which pills impressively even after having illuminated it.

Plush under the arms

Purchased in April 2024. After a month of use, the jacket starts to fluff under the arms. I go to Decathlon, they explain to me that it is normal wear and tear and that it comes from wearing a backpack, even though I don't use a backpack. After 20 minutes of discussion and exchange. Jacket not used in summer. I take it out again for this fall, a month of use and again fluff under the arms. (without use at work, or with backpacks!) Very disappointed with the product!

PERFECT FOR MOUNTAIN ROUTES

I use it for routes in the Pyrenees and it keeps you warm. If you are hot you can open the zippers and you can see that the ventilation increases. Very waterproof for storms. Very good quality.

Good product but as an undercoat

Used in Norway during a hike with bad conditions (rain and wind), I had the MH500 rain jacket above which helped me a lot! The MT500 wind jacket is not so effective during strong gusts, the cold and the feeling of fresh air was felt inside. 72km/h wind speed, I really needed an extra layer to resist it. (I note that this one is not waterproof obviously, but if you want to buy it for an area where you know the wind is strong, take an extra layer)

Very disappointed

Bought 2 months ago. One of the cuffs is starting to come unstitch. The black part, under the arms, is plush. Too bad because the cut was nice. I am really disappointed with this purchase.

Very good windbreaker jacket The only problem is that the pockets are mesh and after 2 months of use there are holes in them because of my keys. The hole is big enough for my cell phone to fall out of my pocket

very good product, which I have been using for the autumn and spring periods since December 2021 for my day hikes.

Quite thermal

Ideal for hiking

The jacket is great for walking around in, good warmth and great that there are zippers on the side of the body that you can open to get some air

What is softshell?

It is a warm protective jacket that protects you from the wind and a short downpour (about 30 minutes) of light rain or snow. The fabric used is an assembly of 3 materials: a breathable and windproof micro-porous membrane sandwiched between the water-repellent outer side and the inner face composed of a comfortable and warm fleece.

Thermal comfort and windproof

The wind makes you feel considerably colder. With an outside temperature of 32°F (0°C) and a 10 mph wind, the perceived temperature is 14°F (-10°C).InchWindproofInch components fight the uncomfortable effects associated with this Inchfreezing effectInch. Extremely effective at reducing heat loss by creating a barrier against the wind

Breathability

The main fabric used throughout the jacket, except at the sides, has a windproof membrane with a breathability of 2814 g/sqm for 24 h (according to the JIS 1099 A standard).

Water repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)

The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight and breathable. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use.The water-repellent property can be reactivated by putting the jacket in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes on low heat.
