Product Customer Reviews

I haven't taken this on a backpacking trip yet. What I HAVE done is load it up with gear and walk a few miles around a lake by my house to test it out. I've done this a few times. I was amazed at how comfortable it was. The Easyfit feature adjusted my pack to fit perfectly. As a result, I realized I was adjusting my previous backpack wrong. Even having used that info to adjust my old backpack properly, I still prefer the Forclaz anyway. - I love the Easyfit feature - I love the zipper in the front. Makes for easier packing. As well there are 2 zippers, so I can open from the bottom real quick if i need to. - There's an interesting elastic band on the chest strap that keeps it taught - Easy to strap things to the outside if need be. The only downside (and it's really not a downside) is that I really wanted to 70L version, but Decathlon isn't selling those in the U.S. C'mon, Decathlon! ! I've been waiting for 2 years for that 70L!! Where's the love? Anyways, I like this backpack so much I got my wife the women's version (at least she gets 60L)
Ive used this once or twice a week for over one year biking to laundry and i like it more every day it holds two small loads or one XL laundrymat load. STILL STOKED
Very good quality, overcame my spectations
I’ve had this rucksack for over a year, and have used it multiple times (including a 3 day coast hike). I can’t praise this highly enough. I was a bit concerned about the central zip, but this is a great, useful design. Both my wife and I use it, so the quick adjustment is perfect. There’s loops on the bottom for attaching extras (such as a tent) with additional straps (which I brought from Decathlon). Overall a very versatile, comfortable pack.
Took this for an overnight hike. The easy fit system seems good for initial adjustment however this is one of the most awkward bags to put onto your back after breaks and such. I’ve never had this problem with other rucksacks however this one rubs badly where my armpit and chest meet, no matter how much I played with the adjustments. I use trekking poles so maybe this bag hasn’t been designed with the arm movement in mind… Other bad point, I don’t trust water bladders kept inside with your dry gear so I rely on water bottles. you have an exterior pocket on the right ideal for a 1.5L/2L water bottle; also on the RH is the water bottle pocket at the waist, which was functional. However with your water stock full, this results in a very RH heavy bag, I think I will need to find a different one on my next trip.
This is the first major bit of kit i bought from decathlon and what a purchase!! Quality TOGR did a review on the 70ltr variant. This has made me consider using more forclaz equipment that i purchased my new cook system from them!
This is no doubt a quality and functional rucksack that can challenge many top end rucksacks, the only issue I have is getting the rucksack on my back is a little fussy and not as easy as other rucksacks I have that are twice the price, this by no means slights this rucksack, for the money I would always recommend this rucksack.
Good value for money and comfortable
This range of bags in all the sizes are an absolute bargain, and in my opinion our osprey to shame.
The Easyfit adjustment system is a 'Gamechanger', so easy to get the pack to fit comfortably and this pack has so many sensible pockets, double zipped main compartment for easy access and all at a great price. Well done Team Decathlon - This is an excellent product.
I bought this for my son to use for his D of E trip and he said it was good except that it could do with two straps on the bottom to hold a tent or roll mate, apart from that excellent bit of kit and good value for money.
I didn't give it 5 stars as the main rucksack fabric looks cheap (I would rather pay a little more for better quality fabric!) and there were one or two loose stiches and its heavy for a 50 litre rucksack. Also the aluminium back stays are cheap .well that's the cons it only cost £49.98 plus postage.so it is a question of what do you expect .I like the fact it has the loops on each corner on the bottom.so you could either attach some cord or straps to carry something that's potentially great and the shock cord on the hood of the rucksack. The bottle holder is another great idea .i would have been nice with a choice of colours .oh and the other plus the main compartment is divided so you get at your sleeping bag ,tent ? without tipping out everything so on the whole its a good rucksack (maybe very good for the price)
I used this bag with 16 kg of load for 3 days mountains baggies, but it doesn't feel really comfortable on shoulders, natural curve on back is missing completely, the ventilation is very poor, I got a massive wet at the back as no airway, balance of weight is not proper, it hurts my shoulders back. hence this bag is not at all good for long distance hiking or mountains baggie.
A very versatile pack with a lot of features and a clever adjustment back system, quality at a low price if this was made by a big brand it would be over twice the price!
This is very shallow but I was disappointed the rucksack didn't have orange straps like shown in the pictures. Fabric feels like excellent quality and I love the front access. Great product!
