Question:
How flat does the pack?
Answer:
This jacket can be folded up to pack down fairly small, but if packability is more important to you than durability and waterproofness, we'd recommend these ligth rain jackets instead: https://www.decathlon.com/products/mens-hiking-rain-jacket-nh100-raincut-full-zip-150323?adept-product=mens-hiking-rain-jacket-nh100-raincut-full-zip-150323&variant=32053686304830&adept_product_id=mens-hiking-rain-jacket-nh100-raincut-full-zip-150323&source=search https://www.decathlon.com/collections/hiking-waterproof-jackets/products/quechua-raincut-nh100-waterproof-hiking-rain-jacket-5332
Question:
Is the jacket windproof and does the jacket have pit zip?
Answer:
Yes, the jacket is windproof. Our motivation? To offer you a comfortable hiking jacket that will protect you from the wind and rain on your hikes. Its versatile cut means you can wear it every day. However, this jacket does not have pit zips. For a jacket with pit zips and even more waterproof protection, we recommend the Quechua MH500 Waterproof Hiking Jacket.

Product Customer Reviews
Very comfortable to wear - haven’t triad it in the rain yet!
Good quality coat
excellent
Good quality jacket , handy for stuffing in rucksack , good level of waterproofing . Dislike , sleeves a bit long .
Very good
Great lightweight waterproof stylish jacket
This was what I really wanted -so pleased with the pleasant help given to me
Purchased for an event where waterproofs are mandatory. Feels nice and light with lots of room to move as will be doing a SUP endurance event and may need to wear this while travelling on the water. Feels like it will be perfect for the job required
Just lovely.
I have the heavy weight version already. This lightweight version is fantastic for the summer. I has all the features and pockets I need. Exceptionally good quality and functionality at great price. The little hand towel found attached to the loop strap in the back pocket was a lovely finishing touch.
Better than Regatta coat it replaced
So needed for this weather
👍🏻👍🏻
I had been looking for a light waterproof jacket and this one seemed to fit the bill. I have been using it for a month and have worn it in the rain a few times. It is waterproof which is the main thing! The pockets also seem to be waterproof. It looks good and it fits well. There is a slight pressure on the throat when the zip is done all the way up but I can live with that. It folds up quite small but is not "pack away" like a Trespass stowable jacket is. This is because the jacket is more substantial than a stowable jacket. I am very pleased with it though-it is comfortable, a good length and it works! What more could you ask?
Bought for Gold DofE doing 4 nights in the Black Mountains and was perfect considering the price point. A really nicely fitting option with lots of features for just £30!

Additional Product Information
Composition
Main fabric: 100.0% Polyester ; Lining: 100.0% Polyester ; Coating: 100.0% Polyurethane
Water resistance of the fabric
Waterproofing is measured in Schmerbers (or mm H₂O), indicating fabric resistance to water pressure. This jacket features a waterproof coating (JIS 1092 standard) that withstands 5,000 mm H₂O—equal to the pressure of a 16.4 ft water column—before washing.
Fabric water-repellency
The jacket’s fabric is water-repellent, so water beads up and rolls off instead of soaking in—keeping it light and breathable. A durable treatment on the outer layer ensures this effect, and the main seams most exposed to rain are fully taped for added protection.
Fabric breathability
This jacket features a highly breathable fabric with a TER of 12, allowing moisture from your body to escape during activity. The lower the TER (Thermal Evaporative Resistance), the better the breathability—making this jacket ideal for staying dry and comfortable on the move. TER < 9 = extremely breathable fabric RET <12 = very breathable fabric RET < 20 = breathable fabric RET > 20 = slightly to not at all breathable fabric.
How do you maintain the waterproofing quality of your jacket over time?
To keep the fabric water-repellent, reactivate the treatment regularly—every three washes (rinse thoroughly) or after about 12 uses in the rain. Reactivation is easy:- Tumble dry for 15 minutes on a synthetic cycle- Use a hair dryer 8 inches away, moving back and forth twice- Or use an iron on delicate (no steam) with two quick passes
Choose your waterproof jacket according to your sports effort
Perspiration levels vary based on the intensity and duration of your activity. If a jacket’s breathability isn’t suited to your pace, moisture can build up inside—not from rain, but from condensation. This jacket is designed for occasional, one-day hikes at a moderate pace of about 3 mph.
Recommended additional product
For full protection against wind and rain, pair this jacket with the men’s NH500 over-trousers—designed to keep your lower body dry and comfortable.
