Product Customer Reviews
Very good bike, unfortunately a chain jump cracked the frame at the bottom bracket, adjustments made by the Decathlon mechanics. Frame HS, bike less than a year old, Vanrysel who does not want to use the warranty. Bike cheaper than the competition but we understand why, mediocre after-sales service.
comfortable, comfortable and comfortable for me. it works great. I am satisfied. it's a shame that you can't buy replacement plastic in D.
I am using the Sram force model which is a higher model, other than that the frame etc. everything is the same. The probability of buying the same product from any other brand with this system and these rims is 0. I recommend those who find stock not to miss it.
great feeling, very responsive bike when restarting, top transmission... I don't regret my purchase for now, see in a few months!
After 4 months of use, I am very satisfied with the Van Rysel RCR bike: an aerodynamic and versatile profile that offers good sensations beyond 30km/h, but which also remains easy to take in the mountains, with its 10-36 cassette. The hydraulic disc brake is also very efficient. I recommend it!
I have been using this Van Rysel for 10 months and I am more than happy with it, you can feel all the qualities of this bike in every pedal stroke, the aerodynamics have been well worked and are pleasant on long straight lines, the relaunches are pure joy. But there is a but, and it concerns the Rivals group: if the rear derailleur is a pure delight, since getting the bike I have not stopped having problems with a chain that derails when switching to the big chainring, and sometimes even when switching to the small chainring which causes significant damage to the frame ... despite several returns to the workshop for adjustment, the problem persists and makes me fear for the durability of this bike ... Too bad for a machine of this quality
Very good bike but competence of the sellers and non-existent customer service (SAV). My power sensor never worked, it was collected by Decathlon Bron two months ago. Since then I have gone back there twice to get news, but no one has any trace of this SARM SAV, and I am still waiting for the replacement or refund of the part
Excellent bike, very good value for money. A little heavy but incredibly efficient on the flat.
After more than 1000km this bike meets all my expectations! Aerodynamics, recovery, light, comfort everything is there for the cyclist who has the means and who wants to have fun! Go for it with your eyes closed
The best bike I've had to date
Good bike with good value for money. Only downside: the lack of support from the D4 teams when collecting the bike.
I am 183cm with an 87.5cm inseam and bought the bike in size L and it fits, although an M frame with a sportier fit would probably have worked too. Appearance: I really like the color raw, matte black with a carbon structure. The lettering is also very elegant and matches the design in glossy black. Everything is very tidy. The frame, handlebars, wheels and gears make a very high-quality impression. Construction: A simple torque wrench and add-on parts were included. All that needed to be done was screwing on the wheels, saddle and pre-assembled handlebars. The gears were already adjusted, the tires full and the batteries charged. There is a suitable tire pressure advisor on the SRAM website, mine is only 3.9 bar! Thankfully no loud freewheel! Weight: 8.07kg including pedals and bottle holder. Ride: My first impression was: stiff, fast and yet quite comfortable. The bike goes downhill like it's on rails, I can hardly feel any flex when accelerating. The electric gears work without problems and are quite nice, but mechanical gears would have been enough for me. I was particularly impressed by the enormous capacity of the cassette. In terms of comfort: unlike in test reports of the Pro model, I find the RCR quite comfortable. Of course, the aggressive seating position requires sufficient muscle and mobility, but it is more comfortable over cobblestones or gravel paths than my Focus Mares with 28mm tubes. Even in windy conditions, the wheels ride really well; my skepticism about hookless has not yet been confirmed; tubeless is great. Race: After 2 rides, I started my first middle distance with the bike. Nice: because the stem is round on the handlebars, you can also mount trailers with round handlebar mounts (Van Rysel Aerobar fits perfectly). Now all that's missing are the SRAM Blips. The race was great, new best cycling time of 37km/h over 85km. Conclusion: Great overall package, where the system is coordinated and you don't have to buy new wheels or a different gear ratio first. It's a lot of money, of course, but I always tell myself that people pay the same amount for an e-bike and are therefore slower ;)
I was considering buying a racing bike from Van Rysel, but I can say with a clear conscience that you can't go wrong with this one. I come from the Oebea camp and always thought my previous Aero was great, but the frame of the RCR is so stiff, it's like riding on rails, but with great comfort! I can go faster with less effort than with my Orbea Orca. The size is also absolutely perfect, I have never ridden so comfortably before. I ordered the bike via Click & Collect, and when I picked it up the racing bike was assembled, but all the screws still had to be tightened... There was just a note on the handlebars saying that the pedals were not secure. But they were the only thing that was rock solid... Unfortunately I also had a scratch on the frame and the seat post seal was missing!!!!! After a phone call to the branch, they obviously couldn't remember... There was no call back either. I contacted support by email and hope for a customer-friendly agreement, because I am very impressed with the racing bike and would like to stay with the brand...
Same treatment as a supermarket bicycle. They just deliver the bike, they didn't make any adjustments. The seatpost comes with a scratch. Inadmissible on a bike of this quality.
1700km ridden and it was 1700km of the fastest, most exciting and hardest kilometers in my cycling life. The bike has been used a lot since day 1. Mainly on flat terrain. It will be tested in the mountains for days. The frame does not look super aerodynamic, but in slightly windy conditions it is hard to tell whether you are riding against or with the wind. SRAM Rival eTap AxS drive - fast and precise with slightly too "soft" brakes, maybe after service it will change - they brake well but the lever itself in my opinion "floats". All together caused my performance to shoot up despite the fact that the bike is about 1kg heavier than the previous one. A great advantage of the Zipp 303s wheel. Hookless, although it sounds terrible, I liked it - lower tire pressure is conducive to comfort without affecting performance. Now but... I recommend carefully studying the description, because the photos and promotional materials in MS or videos promoting the model on YT "are illustrative". The bike is sold with a Decathlon Road Light saddle (not the "indicative" Fizik) - very hard and in my opinion a bit too short, but fortunately in my case I got used to the hardness after a month and do not feel any discomfort while riding. To sum up - a bike worth recommending - quality for the price - top, appearance - top, components - top

The rcr range
The RCR range is a real treat for cyclists who want a complete bike with no compromises. For this bike, performance was our priority. The cross-sections of every tube have been calculated to be as efficient as possible in the main wind angles (-15°/+15°).This bike falls within the Inchlightweight aero Inch category of bikes, offering the perfect balance between weight, rigidity and aerodynamics, resulting in an exceptional bike.If you want a bike designed to win races, look no further than the RCR
What's the difference between the rcr and the rcr pro
What makes a carbon frame is its geometry, its shapes and its layup. The layup is how the carbon fibres are assembled. Not all fibres have the same properties. On the frame of the RCR, we only use high-modulus fibres. On the RCR PRO, we've chosen exceptional fibres that make the bike stiffer in the areas that are put under the most stress and that slightly reduce the weight. The RCR PRO is ready to compete at the highest level.
A closer look at the frame
The RCR's frame weighs 830 g (painted) in size M The RCR Pro's frame weighs 790 g (painted) in size M The RCR's fork weighs 380 g (painted) in size MThe frame can take tyres up to 33 mm wide. There may be slight variations in weight depending on the colour (+/- 50 g).
Cockpit

Sram rival groupset and quarq power meter
The RCR bike is equipped with the SRAM Rival eTap AXS complete groupset and Quarq power meter. A power meter is a must for cyclists who want to plan their training to help them improve.Total drive train weight: 3045 g with power meterThe electronic groupset has two separate batteries (one for each derailleur). You can use the SRAM app to set up your bike and view data from your rides.

Drive train maintenance
Please note that it is important to regularly service your drive train, especially if you ride in difficult conditions (wet and/or dirty roads).Regular maintenance will help your drive train to last for longer. You should regularly check your chain with our chain wear indicator, which is available on our website.
Lifespan of a drive train
When buying a bike, it's important to take into account the cost of servicing it, especially as regards the drive train. The amounts below are averages and are given so that you have a general idea of what to expect. They will of course vary depending on the care you take of your drive train. The average lifespan of a well-maintained chain is 5000 km.The average lifespan of a cassette is 10,000-12,000 km.A poorly maintained chain can jump, which can damage your bike's frame.
Disc brakes
SRAM Rival disc brakes with 160 mm discs at the front and 140 mm at the back. The SRAM Rival brakes are hydraulic. This gives you progressive, more powerful braking than with cable-actuated hydraulic brakes. You will need to bed these brakes in. Simply brake gradually 20 times at a low speed (20 km/h), then repeat at 30 km/h. Make sure to bed in both brakes.Bedding in creates more friction between the disc and brake pad.
