I found this jacket…

I find this jacket very elegant and light. I use it every day to go to work by bike (2 km) and for walks. The high collar is very practical because it covers the throat well in the morning when it is cool. The only downsides for this jacket are the pockets: the interior pocket is too high on the chest. When you put the credit card and transport card in it, it's a little annoying and not very elegant. The right and left exterior pockets are a little small to put the cell phone (MIA3 style). When you want to go for a walk without a backpack, it's a shame not to be able to put your phone in one of the pockets of this jacket and to be a little bothered by the CB card pocket in the inside pocket.

I had another model...

I had another model that I bought a few years ago that I found much better. I find that the quality drops a little unless you pay an arm and a leg for a waterproof jacket!

Additional Product Information

Composition

Main fabric: 100.0% Polyester ; Main lining: 100.0% Polyester ; Secondary lining: 100.0% Polyester ; Coating: 100.0% Polyurethane

Cut

This jacket has a cut that fits all shapes while still looking very feminine. A warm layer, such as a fleece or light jumper, can be worn underneath. Inner lining can also provide more comfort. You can choose your usual size, or a size above if you don't want it to be worn fitted.

Removable hood

The hood can be removed thanks to the press studs. Its height can be adjusted using an elasticated cord, and its depth adjusted using a Velcro tab located at the back of the hood.

Construction of the jacket

This jacket is constructed with 2 coated layers, including a mesh lining (large mesh lining) ‘2 layers’ means there is the outer fabric and the lining. A coating is applied to the inside of the fabric, it is similar to a resin that makes the component waterproof, while remaining breathable. The inner lining of the jacket has the role of protecting this coating

Waterproofness test

Waterproofing is measured by a fabric’s resistance to water pressure expressed in mm of water column (JIS 1092 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. The component of this product has a waterproof rating of 5000 mm, i.e. it can withstand the pressure exerted by a 5000 mm column of water. This is also equivalent to 5 000 Schmerbers.

Breathability test

Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET). This is its capacity to let water vapour generated by the body during physical activity escape and therefore avoid water accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabricRET ≤ 12: breathable fabricRET ≤ 20: little breathability Our product has a 12 RET rating

How do i restore my jacket's water-repellent properties?

The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight and breathable. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use.
