Celebrating Women in the Great Outdoors
As we enter Women’s History Month, we would like to honor and celebrate the achievements and contributions of inspiring women in the outdoors. Women who help highlight diversity and push for accessibility in the outdoors. Women who empower other women and girls to seek the outdoors for various health benefits. With the launch of our #WomenOutsideUSA campaign, we invite everyone to share stories of the remarkable women who have inspired them.
By sharing your stories and participating in our #WomenOutsideUSA campaign, you’re automatically in for a chance to win a $500 Decathlon USA gift card, along with $500 cash. Simply share a video post on Instagram, telling us how a woman in your life has inspired you to get outside. She could be a professional athlete, an influencer, someone close to you, or even yourself!

| “In a crowded world full of instant entertainment, crowds, and a constant pressure to rush - getting outside is a solace for my brain, body and soul. My favorite outdoor activity is hiking. It’s my main form of exercise. While gyms and home workouts stress me out, the exertion I get from climbing mountains is validating toward a goal. Hiking is also my favorite way to “unplug”. By getting outside, I focus on my surroundings and don’t have the constant buzz of a phone in my pocket. I find peace in the beauty of nature. Whether it’s a quiet pond or a mountain ridge, the outdoors provides the sights, sounds, and even smells that awaken my happiness.
I’m inspired by the women in my family like my mom and grandmothers who loved hiking, camping, and skiing. I’m lucky to have had them as role models not only to demonstrate that women do outdoor adventure sports - but also that it’s important to prioritize time in the outdoors.” |
