Product Customer Reviews
the jacket after one wash was only cloth..the filling became small balls.
The down jacket is great for mountain hikes, it keeps you warm and is compact if you want to store it. The black color is good, too bad there was no navy blue or fir green color...
Light, warm, compact. Excellent wear and maintenance.
Satisfied with my purchase
Fine in-between jacket, which can also be worn in the winter. I think with thermal clothing underneath it is also suitable in lower temperatures.
Excellent quality and fantastic lightness
Bought on sale several years ago, one of my favorite Decathlon purchases. I use it for breaks during mountain hikes in all seasons, depending on the temperatures with the addition of other layers and for more or less short breaks. Light and compact at the bottom of the backpack. If I wanted to find a flaw, it loses feathers from the seams.
great product, comfortable, light and warm, ideal for walks
Tested on a weekend near Lac Blanc (Belledonne), cold and rain, this jacket is very warm. I of course put on a waterproof jacket to protect from the rain. It is perfect! Compact and efficient
Comfortable to wear in town in mid-season
Good
Great jacket! Keeps you nice and warm, is slightly water-repellent (I've never worn it in the rain) and has a bright color (I chose the golden brown color), which I like because as a pedestrian/cyclist I like to be seen quickly by cars etc., especially in the evening. It's not very nice visually because you can see the structure of the padding through the outer material. It looks a bit weird.
Light and comfortable jacket
I love this jacket, light and warm, ideal for our changing Bogotá. I would like to find it in other colors like white, blue or gray.
Fantastic appeal and it's a complete package of everything and the best part is very light to carry and don't take much space to carry and very cofartable while wearing and very warm as well at -5 also.

Additional Product Information
Composition
Main fabric: 100.0% Polyamide ; Main lining: 100.0% Polyamide ; Filling: 100.0% Polyester
How warm is this padded jacket?
This down jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 23°F (-5°C), during a standardized test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3mph wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. The comfort temperature is 41°F (5°C) in this case.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
Inflating power of down/feather filling
The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to InchtrapInch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency. Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°C, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
A snag? this is how to repair your down jacket
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or feathers from escaping. We even have patches you can purchase on our website!

Product testing
All our down jackets are laboratory tested in 3.1 mph winds and worn as a 3rd layer on a thermal mannequin (over a long sleeved T-shirt and fleece). Their level of thermal insulation is measured on a scale of 1 to 5, so that you can make the choice that best suits your use.
