Question:
How does someone wash one of these safely (a camper had an accident overnight)?
Answer:
These pads are not designed to be machine washed or dried. To clean the pad, first lie it down on a clean surface and close the valve. Then, wipe it down with a sponge/cloth and a mild soap. Lastly, rinse it with a clean sponge or spray it down with a hose outside.

Product Customer Reviews
heavy and bulky
satisfied
Very practical
For the moment only one bivouac outing to its credit, it fulfilled its role of insulation/mattress very well. I did not fill it much and I quickly realized when lying on it that it was too rigid so I deflated it well when I lay on it, the non-return valve system is perfect for perfectly adjusting the pressure. That said despite that I did not sleep very well, I woke up several times during the night with a numb shoulder/arm whether on one side or the other but hey apparently it is very common with this type of mattress! You can't have everything apparently! For it to be perfect it would be necessary to add a tightening strap to the bag, the current transport cover is much too big for the mattress and therefore it loosens and takes up more space than it could take in the luggage.
Good product
To try it out, I put both the foam mat and the inflatable mat side by side on the first night and switched to one foam and one inflatable mat at night, it's incredibly comfortable. It doesn't feel like a stone etc. It's better than foam in terms of comfort, foam is better in terms of insulation, but the inflatable mat is also very insulated and not bad. It's very practical to inflate and pack down, I set it up in 10 seconds and pack it down in 30 seconds.
Very easy to inflate to any firmness (gets much firmer than traditional self-inflating pads). While I am accustomed to a slight mummy-cut pad, the extremely narrow foot end is a bit weird and will take getting used to.
Very comfortable even for yoga practice
I had taken two for a tent holiday. They are easily transportable, do not take up space. And are comfortable. I fully recommend
Good product
I have been able to use this mattress four times. Since the last use, a lump forms loudly (with crackling sounds) at the end of the mattress when it is inflated. The latter deflates when you lie on it.
Comfortable mattress I am quite satisfied with it but the price is still a little high. I have not yet tested it with low outside temperatures but in terms of design it is of good quality and easy to inflate on an old model I had more difficulty adjusting the pressure of the mattress this one has a membrane that prevents it from deflating between the moment you blow and the moment you close the valve it's great.
Much too thin. Used last year for a week in Europe on different campsites. Backache and bad sleep after every night.
It feels like a really good bed when you lie down.
I used it for 2 years, it provided easy and quick use, then suddenly the cells fell apart and there was a balloon in the middle, it was ruined. I thought it would last longer, so it was a bit of a disappointment.

Composition
Foam: 100.0% Polyurethane ; Floor mat: 50.0% Thermoplastic Polyurethane, 50.0% Polyester ; Main fabric: 50.0% Thermoplastic Polyurethane, 50.0% Polyester ; Carry bag: 100.0% Polyester
The principle of a self-inflating mattress
A self-inflating mattress consists of an airtight envelope glued to an open cell foam in which the air circulates. When you unfold your mattress, it will regain its shape and thickness (2.5 cm for this MT100 mattress) and fill with air. However, it requires some mouth inflation so you can adjust it to the pressure level suitable for you. Self-inflation is more or less noticeable depending on the thickness of the mattress.
Easy inflation/deflation
When using your mattress for the first time, unroll it, open the valve for 24 hours on a flat surface, then inflate it and leave it for 24 hours, valve closed, under pressure. Then you can store it away again. While trekking, take out and unroll your mattress as soon as you set up camp, valve open to facilitate pre-inflation. A self-inflating mattress inflates to about 60 to 70% on its own. You will need to blow up the rest yourself, so you can adjust the pressure to your desired comfort level.
What is the r-value?
The R-Value is a measure of the thermal insulation. It measures the ability of a mattress to retain or prevent heat from escaping from a warm body (human body) to a cold floor. The higher the R-Value, the better the insulation of the mattress. Please note that the R-Values can be added; this means that you can use two mattresses and add their R-Values.All our mattresses are tested to standard ASTM F3340-18.
What r-value for what use?
R-value from 0 to 1.9: Hot season (summer) onlyR-value from 2 to 3: 2 or 3-season (spring-summer-autumn)R-value from 3 to 4: 4-seasonR-value of 4.5 and higher: Use in all 4 seasons and in extreme conditions (glacier, far north and high altitudes)
Tips for sleeping well on your mattress
Once you are lying down, remember to adjust the inflation pressure of the mattress by slightly pressing the IN valve (open cap). A mattress that is too hard is often synonymous with discomfort.Silicone patches on the top of the mattress are designed to reduce the sliding of your sleeping bag on the mattress.
How to repair a leaky mattress
An inflatable mattress is not puncture-proof, but it can be repaired! When using it, take every care when installing and handling it. In the event of a problem, we recommend using self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8557113).
Product testing
All our mattresses undergo mechanical performance and resistance tests to guarantee you the best night's sleep and recovery (thermal and abrasion resistance, etc.). We also carry out several field tests in real-life conditions.
Storage instructions
To ensure your product's resistance and reliability, store it flat, valve open, in a dry, temperate place.
