As good as the more expensive options

Just as good (even better then some) compared to more expensive lightweight sacks. Light, robust and comfortable when climbing. Well worth trying.

Atrocious

This bag is an appalling retrograde step in comparison to the original (excellent) Simond Cliff bag. Terrible.

Insufficient shoulder strap padding

This is gonna sound weird…this bag is amazing for the price but I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends The chest strap hard to operate with one hand (have a look at BD backpacks) This would be one of the best small climbing, scrambling pack on the market if it would have more padding in the shoulder straps, reaching up while climbing became really hurtful after repetitive movements and I had to put a jacket on just to create some padding because the shoulder straps were cutting into my skin and caused a scar (carried around 4kgs only) I’m only ever gonna be able to use this bag in the colder months…still a big well done for the developers tho because everything else is really amazing with this bag

Poor closing

It can't be closed tightly, it leaves a hole the size of a two złoty coin, if you get caught in the rain, it's a bummer

sturdy and lightweight at a super price

Hello. I bought this backpack as a replacement for my old CLIF backpack. After more than a year of active use, I'm glad I got rid of it. The CLIF backpack was perfection from the Simond brand, with minor modifications, the backpack would be unbeatable. But what they showed on this backpack is absolute madness. The simplicity and sophistication of the product disappeared, the weight added. The only two things I rate positively are the helmet net and a more comfortable back system. If they had added loops on both sides to the old CLIF backpack, the same as on the Alpinist 22. It would be great. I would make the backpack from a slightly more durable material and leave the drawcord THE SAME as on the CLIF backpack. It allowed entry into the backpack and removal of upper items when the user had it on his back (drawcord at the back) and instead of a strap that goes across the entire backpack, add a (raincoat) that will only be through the entrance to the backpack. In case of a sudden downpour on the wall. Please, is there still a single piece of the old CLIF backpack somewhere in the world? I would love to own a perfect product from the simond brand! And would it be possible to contact the developers? And give them feedback?

Promising

This bag is pretty good in several respects: small (20L) with a main pocket: practical because it doesn't waste space, rather light, despite having a waist and abdominal strap. The colors are nice, and it ticks a lot of the boxes for a lightweight bag. What it lacks: Velcro straps on either side (side) or elastic bands allow you to attach at least hiking poles (in my case, I was thinking of this to attach two ice axes, and this bag would be great for winter mountaineering without ski approaches). To be developed: it would be cool to look into installing a flask holder on the front (like on a trail bag, which goes well with the lightweight nature of the bag), or it would be cool if Decath developed a kind of removable flask holder that could be attached to backpack straps.

Top

For the price and functionality I'm really happy with it, the bag is light and easy to use, for use without too much weight in it it should be great.

great

The backpack is spacious, it's nice that it has more pockets

Backpack for summer climbing

The strap that secures the line on the outside should be a bit more solid and thicker. That's the only criticism I have about this backpack, apart from that it's a great design!

Stylish - Lightweight - Practical

This bag is awesome. You can feel the quality despite the lightness. I've had it for over a year and it follows me everywhere, to work for jacket + lunchbox, mountain biking (the helmet pocket is very practical), day hikes, via ferrata etc... If it had had slanted doors it would have been the definition of perfection with a beige color perhaps.

Quality and Aesthetics

Perfect for extreme sports

It is not very comfortable

I used it with the weight that one normally carries for long routes (equipment and rope) and it hurt near the armpits, so I think they skimped a lot on the material in that area. The velcro also wears out very quickly.

Daily use

I use it for everyday use because of its comfort, I even went so far as to do the Camino de Santiago from Tui with it, carrying it on me the whole time (it did get annoying in the last stages because of the area around the handles) but for the rest it is totally recommendable.
