I love my mask ! It means snorkelling is even more enjoyable and with full face cover , much more comfortable than standard google type masks. Totally recommend!
Have tried this and is so much easier to use than a snorkel
Fuss free snorkeling at it's best.
After purchasing my first one two years ago in Spain I have seen so much more under the water than I had in the previous 50 years . My wife ( who wouldn’t put her face under water ) after trying mine immediately purchased her own . We have bought several more as gifts . So easy to use and breathe with mouth or nose and no steaming up .
When I use for swimming that is so good for breathing
Nothing to do with this product itself - as a full face mask it is very functional. We bought it for the Maldives and I enjoyed using it for short snorkel trips from the shore (15-20 min each), good visibility, easy to breathe and it does leak a bit from the forehead but u can easily tighten it with the straps and suction. However - I took this with me on a boat snorkelling trip which consisted of 2 snorkelling trips over a period of about 2 hours. One snorkelling trip was approximately half an hour each time. I noticed I was having a bit of trouble breathing, I didn't feel it was because of the mask, but the air I was inhaling was not 'full' and I had to take deep gulps of air and I started to feel a little bit of nausea because of it. I attributed it to seasickness and continued snorkelling. However, by the second snorkel trip, I was feeling dead on nauseous. Luckily, we were approaching the end and I grabbed onto the buoy of our snorkel guide. I was about to throw up for real, so I took off my mask and threw it on the buoy. The minute I did that, I started feeling better as I inhaled and exhaled fresh air. Got back on the boat and recovered quickly. It wasn't seasickness but the mask. Do your research on 'full face snorkel mask' before you buy this. It is good for short trips and snorkel beginners. But people have died from using full face masks, as it restricts the oxygen going into your mask. I have thrown mine away without hesitation and will be buying a proper mask from Decathlon. Again, nothing against this brand or product. But I highly caution everyone to do your research on full face snorkel masks before buying them.
Hello Charlene,
Thank you very much for your feedback, we really appreciate it, furthermore when it's a safety matter.
First of all, I am really sorry that you couldn't totally enjoy your snorkeling trip in Maldives with your SUBEA Easybreath fullface mask and I hope that the rest of trip was amazing as it should have been.
What you have experienced is a concern for us and I have already informed our design team that is taking it into serious considerations.
Let me just specify that SUBEA by DECATHLON has invented and designed the concept of fullface snorkeling mask, it has been developed during 7 years.
You can have a look of this success story here:
https://www.subea.com/innovation/easybreath-snorkeling-face-mask-tp_3001
EasyBreath is the only snorkeling fullface mask that is medically approved by an independent laboratory, unlike the copycats we can find on the market.
During these protocols, our testers have exercised while wearing an EasyBreath mask to make sure that there is no CO2 built-up inside the mask.
Please, check out the full procedure on the link below:
https://www.subea.com/blog/standards-and-tests-performed-easybreath-mask-tp_6134
We have sold millions of EasyBreath masks all around the world and nobody died because of it.
During our medical tests, people having the same symptoms than you were subject of respiratory impairments.
My point is definitely not to alarm you but only to share our knowledge so that you can take the necessary actions if needed.
If you have any questions about our EasyBreath fullface mask or any other diving equipment, please feel free to contact me. I would be very happy to assist you.
I am sure that you'll have more fantastic underwater adventures and the Decathlon team would be delighted to accompany you in this journey.

Unable to use a snorkel fond this snorkelling mask brilliant
Easy to use and fits well. Does not work for going down for a closer look at things. It is light weight and the air in the mask keeps your head up. When used with a bit of effort it the positive pressure in the mask can be a bit exhausting.
Not bad for the price
I've used an Easybreath in the pool since 2015. Although a competent pool and open-water swimmer for nearly fifty years, a stroke left me with shallow, gaspy breathing while swimming. I found using the snorkel mask in the pool "tamed" my breathing and I can now breath normally while swimming. Took a week to realise that I didn't have to time each breath to coincide with my breaststroke as you would normally, I now breath naturally through my nose as I would on dry land - no breathing technique needed. Another valid point: there have been several fatalities involving elderly swimmers using conventional mask and snorkel losing consciousness and drowning. Reason: they don't have the tidal volume to sweep the snorkel tube completely free of carbon dioxide which of course results in hypocapnia. That's why most public pools ban them. An increasing number of local authorities allow the use of Easybreath masks as there's little chance of CO2 build-up in the mask as the fresh air intake and expelled breath never mix. In fact my own council has over ten Easybreath users in all three of our pools, a number of whom are stroke survivors. I understand Easybreath masks are being used to encourage swimmers who have a fear of putting their heads underwater. A serious concern with using a conventional snorkel is the gag response, many people can't tolerate anything in their mouths. Of course the Easybreath leaves your mouth free. It's vital to realise that you can't tumble turn in the pool using an Easybreath. It's designed to work upright, and the inversion during a tumble turn could result in flooding. As usual, thoroughly read the manual first before first use.
I recently used it in Bohol! Great snorkeling experience.
I tested this mask firstly in the bath with my fave just in the water. The water poured in via the bottom valve by my chin and started to fill up the breathing space where my nose and mouth, so I immediately took my face above the surface and the water then poured out of the valve at the bottom. If I had stayed with my face in the water, my nose and mouth would have been in the water and I wouldn't have been able to breath. I am so glad that I tested this safely in the bath first. I am returning this product, but as I was wanting a snorkel mask by the end of the week so I can take it on holiday, then I am going to have to risk ordering a second one now and paying the extra postage, as I cannot wait for this faulty one to be processed as a return. Very disappointed due to the risk of having a faulty valve and water pouring in, and having to pay the extra cost of a second delivery. I have tried phoning the Decathlon Customer Service just now, but got told that there was no assurance of getting a replacement to me by the end of the week (although if I pay myself to order a second one online and deliver to ASDA I can apparently get this by the next day!). Not at all impressed.
Dear Sue,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that our mask arrived broken to you. It is very unusual situation as all of them are made in the same way and we have not heard about many similar issues so far. It must be one off defect.
We hope your replacement will arrive soon and you will be able to fully enjoy your holiday. Of course we will refund you that extra cost of delivery for the second mask.
Once again apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,

It takes a little time to work out how to breath normally without getting to hyperventally and as soon as the heart rate and breathing increases it gets a bit foggy and hard to breath. Other than that it works great. sometimes the waves crashed into my snorkle and i had a panik attack but i realised if i just keep looking down the water moves on the mask and not my face and its all good..... so it does take a little while to work it all out. would be nice if there was an instruction sheet or something. I really like this mask, especially since i can wear my contacts and not get water in my eyes (except for the odd opps moment) this mask made it so easy for me to snorkel.
These are truly amazing.... Wouldn't be without mine now. These masks take snorkeling to a whole new level. Great value for money too@
Bought x2 of these from decathlon store for £19.99 each best I have ever used. Will not be using any other in the future, no steaming up no water ingress.
The volume of air contained in the Easybreath is much greater than that contained in a traditional mask; from 40" deep, the pressure of the mask on the face becomes very uncomfortable. When you free dive, you need to equalize the pressure afterward. However, with the Easybreath this is not possible because you cannot get at your nose.
Contrary to what some may think, the snorkel of the Easybreath sticks out of the water more than a traditional snorkel. A traditional snorkel seems longer because it starts from the mouth and not the top of the head like the Easybreath. To guarantee respiration that meets current standards, we cannot make the snorkel any longer.
The Easybreath is available in 2 sizes that cover 90% of faces. Children over 10, teenagers and women should opt for the S/M size, and men for the M/L size. To choose the right size when in the store, tighten the mask so that it fits against your face: There should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask. More details: https://www.subea.fr/conseils/comment-choisir-la-taille-de-son-masque-easybreath-tp_1331
Sizes S/M and M/L cover 90% of face sizes of people over 10. Therefore, sizes XS and L/XL have been discontinued. This optimization will enable us to reduce the price of the Easybreath.
Beards can be responsible for letting in significant amounts of water. We recommend that men shave their beards before using the Easybreath because the hairs can break the seal between the silicone skirt of the mask and your skin.
It works best in waters over 64°F and is based on the fact that the fresh air breathed in is projected onto the front window before reaching the nose or mouth. Moisture-laden air you exhale is evacuated through the silicone and plastic side connections that send the air out through the snorkel. In this way, the air constantly renewed. This is the same principle as the ventilation of your car windscreen.
It was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. There is a float in the snorkel that rises when you dive and blocks the tube. After diving, remember to blow out when returning to the surface to make sure that the float descends.
Pay attention to sand! Avoid letting your Easybreath mask come into contact with sand as this can scratch the window of the mask. If sand is present, do not use force to clip the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before connecting them. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a key that you can fit through the rear vents of the snorkel to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel.
YES, extend the lifespan of your Easybreath mask! After-sales service is available from the Workshop in your Decathlon store. Spare parts can also be purchased online: Part codes: strap - 8316952, valve - 8363399, snorkel - 8342901, white cover - 8363395.

At Subea, the Decathlon diving brand, we decided on a simple way to define the difference between our freediving and snorkeling products: From the moment you hold your breath and swim under the surface of the water even a few yards, it is freediving. Conversely, if one stays on the surface, this is snorkeling.
Tribord Diving is now called SUBEA, the Decathlon brand dedicated to underwater sports (snorkeling, scuba diving, spearfishing and free-diving). The markings on all our diving products will gradually be replaced. Why SUBEA? Because: "SUBaquatic Experiences are Amazing"! For more information: www.subea.com
