How to adjust your walking poles?
Hold the poles with your arms bent at a right angle. To adjust them: unscrew the central strand under the ring of the lower strand, choose the desired height (in inches) and screw tightly, but not excessively; repeat with the lower section. NEVER GO OVER THE "STOP LINE", or the pole may break during use.
Before leaving: always verify your poles are firmly tightened.
The poles can be lengthened for example, for descents, or for a hard push up the mountain .
When walking downhill, it's best to remove the strap so the pole won't get in your way if you fall.
Summer baskets (small diameter), screw-on, provided.
Compatible with winter baskets, wider.
The unfolded pole undergoes laboratory flex and compression tests to guarantee efficiency and resistance in the event the hiker needs to press on it with great force. Tests are also carried out to assess how the tightening systems cope with pulling, tightening and repeated stress, and pull tests on the tips and handles simulate poles getting stuck when in use.
Do not put it on the backpack in stormy weather.
Store the poles in a dry place, do not tighten the sections.
