The only improvement would be to move the keychain mini carabiner from the upper pockets (where it's unusable) to one of the two big button pockets on the sides (ideally the right one).

It's a spectacular Bermuda short. It's not cheap, but I really liked the color, the quality, the feel, and the fit. I've worn it three times so far, and everything's fine.
