About this item:
- This backpack is made for multiple days hiking or trekking in autonomy. You can carry everything you need to camp, drink and eat on your back with comfort.
- The MT900 ULTRALIGHT only weighs 2.9 lb and can contain a total volume of 50 liters which we recommend for a trip under 2 weeks long. The top of the bag is adjustable and can hold an extra 10 liters of volume.
- This backpack has plenty of features if you are looking for a lightweight technical option at a great price: AIR concept back ventilation, rain cover, water bottle holder, hiking poles holder, 7 pockets and a compartment for a water bladder for easy hydration.
- The AIR concept: in order for your back to dry faster, we added a mesh on top of a ventilated structure. Ideal for long and sweaty day hikes from one camp to another !
- This is a men's backpack: This bag has been conceived for a masculine morphology (torso and hips). We recommend to consider the users physical morphology when you choose a bag for comfort purposes when carrying it on your back.
- 10-year warranty: the fabric of the bag is ultra resistant and Decathlon is proud to offer this warranty for any defect that could appear in the next 10 years.

Product Customer Reviews
Overall pretty good bag, nice and light but still pretty robust. Back system is flawed though, rigid structure at bottom of pack results in pain in lower back after a few hours walking, needed to adjust the setting to extra small to relieve it a bit - ideally I would have the setting at medium size.
its a nice rucksack I would not say it is ultralight weight as such. the worrying thing about the side pockets is they are open at the sides which is a bit strange. But it has a good back system.it is lightweight it is a little bit heavier than my old osprey exos 48 L.
It's the lightest I've used. The straps are very useful for attaching a sleeping bag or snowshoes. The tension cord is a bit confusing when you want to put something in the side pockets. The raincover could be hidden at the bottom of the backpack leaving the lid open. I hope it's abrasion resistant.
Very lightweight hiking bag, just what I need. Very practical and comfortable.
After 2 weeks on the GR20, still satisfied with my backpack! Light and big enough for my needs. A few drawbacks: - no handle on the shoulder straps to hang your hands (and possibly pass the camel bak tube) - water pocket difficult to use. The frame blocks the passage, it is difficult to get the pocket in, and this applies pressure that can make it overflow if it is too full (my bag ended up wet twice...) - sleeping bag attachment system, under the backpack, very impractical. You have to completely turn the bag over to access it, and it is difficult to handle. I also have the impression that the attachment is mounted upside down, I have to twist the strap for it to work... (or I missed something!) Overall it is not huge overall, but perfection is not of this world ;)
Top bag, super light, for optimal weight it was necessary to get rid of the superfluous, the excess fabric, the numerous pockets. In short, a single pocket in the bag, with external pockets, I love this bag, it is well spaced from the back so that it breathes! Compartment for the water bladder inside. I took the men's model anyway, and it still did the job.
Very good bag for long hikes, easy to use, very light and ventilates well in the back, great
Very well thought out for storage and ergonomics. On the other hand, you can really feel the rigid metal frame at the top of the buttocks.
Great bag. Super comfortable.
Very good, very nice
The backpack is good, but still quite heavy for ultralight. It wobbles a bit while hiking, which bothers me, and when heavily loaded, the frame presses into my shoulders.
After using this bag on several long treks I can assure you that it is worth the cost! Good value for money, I recommend it.

Air design
Inspired by its sister, the MT500 AIR, this bag replicates many of the features of its ventilated back structure with a mesh fabric so that the back can breathe more and dry quickly.
Capacity
50 L volume +10 L extension. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method. we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each pocket. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in litres, with a margin of error of just a few %.
How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Store your clothing around it. A groundsheet or tent can be placed under the flap or under the bag if there isn't room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment provided down the back.
How to use the multi-use straps?
The new MT500 AIR and MT900 UL series of trekking backpacks have two straps with open aluminium buckles (on the lower part of the bag). These straps let you hook on a tent or mattress under the bag or on the barrel. If not in use, these straps can be stored (by pushing them inside) in the hidden pocket intended for this or detached and used elsewhere with the lark's head knot buckle.
