Very good and ultra light bag except for a big problem concerning the zipper which works very badly.

Unfortunately, after the first trip to Nepal, the bag already had two holes in the bottom. (Right after the outbound flight, probably from loading—a sturdy bag should be able to withstand that kind of damage.) I bought the bag so I could have a waterproof bag. Now I have to have it wrapped in plastic for every flight to prevent further damage. Disappointing quality :((

Waterproofing
IPX4 (ISO 20653 standard).Welded assembly prevents water from entering the bag's main compartment. The zip is waterproof and protected by a double flap to increase its protection performance.

How is bag volume measured?
The volume of our bags is measured using a standard method: we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each pocket. We then empty the balls into a graduated container, which provides the equivalent volume in litres.
Technical tests
We complete laboratory tests to certify components: fabrics, buckles, straps, foam, zips... for example, for a fabric: resistance to abrasion and tearing, colour-fastness in UV light, resistance to washing, waterproofing, etc.A test is then conducted on the finished product replicating the accelerated demands on the bag over the years to check the strength of the assembly.

At SIMOND, these tests are organised on the mountains, led by a team of engineers from our design centre, who are responsible for this mission. Our product managers, engineers and the entire team use the results of these tests to develop and create technical products to ensure the satisfaction of our customers.
