Question:

How does someone wash one of these safely (a camper had an accident overnight)?

Answer:

These pads are not designed to be machine washed or dried. To clean the pad, first lie it down on a clean surface and close the valve. Then, wipe it down with a sponge/cloth and a mild soap. Lastly, rinse it with a clean sponge or spray it down with a hose outside.

Excellent mattress

So far, I've just tried it at home and everything is fine. Very comfortable for the moment. I haven't tried it in a tent or at any campsite yet, but it won't disappoint me.

Defective

Mattress bought the same day to go bivouac. I spent two days sleeping on the ground. Mattress that does not keep its simplest promises ... Results: Back in a mess and sleep at zero. Thank you

Awesome

Originally, I read on the website that the height after inflating was only 2.5cm, and I was worried that it would not be enough cushioning, but it turned out that the sleeping experience was quite good! Automatic inflation is very convenient. You can also add gas through your mouth to adjust the inflation level. It is very practical👍

I bought it because it takes up less space compared to classic mats, it looks nice for now

Comfortable

As an inflatable mat, it is a price-performance product, its portability and practicality are of great use to me, so far three of my friends have preferred and bought the same product and they are very satisfied.

Very practical

Used in motorcycle bivouac

For the moment only one bivouac outing to its credit, it fulfilled its role of insulation/mattress very well. I did not fill it much and I quickly realized when lying on it that it was too rigid so I deflated it well when I lay on it, the non-return valve system is perfect for perfectly adjusting the pressure. That said despite that I did not sleep very well, I woke up several times during the night with a numb shoulder/arm whether on one side or the other but hey apparently it is very common with this type of mattress! You can't have everything apparently! For it to be perfect it would be necessary to add a tightening strap to the bag, the current transport cover is much too big for the mattress and therefore it loosens and takes up more space than it could take in the luggage.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Foam: 100.0% Polyurethane ; Floor mat: 50.0% Thermoplastic Polyurethane, 50.0% Polyester ; Main fabric: 50.0% Thermoplastic Polyurethane, 50.0% Polyester ; Carry bag: 100.0% Polyester

The principle of a self-inflating mattress

A self-inflating mattress consists of an airtight envelope glued to an open cell foam in which the air circulates. When you unfold your mattress, it will regain its shape and thickness (2.5 cm for this MT100 mattress) and fill with air. However, it requires some mouth inflation so you can adjust it to the pressure level suitable for you. Self-inflation is more or less noticeable depending on the thickness of the mattress.

Easy inflation/deflation

When using your mattress for the first time, unroll it, open the valve for 24 hours on a flat surface, then inflate it and leave it for 24 hours, valve closed, under pressure. Then you can store it away again. While trekking, take out and unroll your mattress as soon as you set up camp, valve open to facilitate pre-inflation. A self-inflating mattress inflates to about 60 to 70% on its own. You will need to blow up the rest yourself, so you can adjust the pressure to your desired comfort level.

What is the r-value?

The R-Value is a measure of the thermal insulation. It measures the ability of a mattress to retain or prevent heat from escaping from a warm body (human body) to a cold floor. The higher the R-Value, the better the insulation of the mattress. Please note that the R-Values can be added; this means that you can use two mattresses and add their R-Values.All our mattresses are tested to standard ASTM F3340-18.

What r-value for what use?

R-value from 0 to 1.9: Hot season (summer) onlyR-value from 2 to 3: 2 or 3-season (spring-summer-autumn)R-value from 3 to 4: 4-seasonR-value of 4.5 and higher: Use in all 4 seasons and in extreme conditions (glacier, far north and high altitudes)

Tips for sleeping well on your mattress

Once you are lying down, remember to adjust the inflation pressure of the mattress by slightly pressing the IN valve (open cap). A mattress that is too hard is often synonymous with discomfort.Silicone patches on the top of the mattress are designed to reduce the sliding of your sleeping bag on the mattress.

How to repair a leaky mattress

An inflatable mattress is not puncture-proof, but it can be repaired! When using it, take every care when installing and handling it. In the event of a problem, we recommend using self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8557113).

Product testing

All our mattresses undergo mechanical performance and resistance tests to guarantee you the best night's sleep and recovery (thermal and abrasion resistance, etc.). We also carry out several field tests in real-life conditions.

Storage instructions

To ensure your product's resistance and reliability, store it flat, valve open, in a dry, temperate place.
