Question:
I'm confused about the torso lengths for this?
Answer:
When choosing the size of a hiking backpack, it’s important to take into account your body shape. The backpack size should be adapted to your back. It’s measured from the base of your neck to your hips and the grip of the stomach strap should be comfortable on your hips. How to accurately measure your torso for optimal backpack fit? To ascertain this crucial measurement, enlist the help of a friend and have a pliable tape measure on hand. Bend your head forward and locate the bony protrusion where your shoulder slope meets your neck—the 7th cervical (C7) vertebra, marking the top of your torso length. On either side of your body, run your hands down the ribcage to the apex of your hip bones (known as the iliac crest). Align your index fingers forward and your thumbs backward, creating an imaginary line between them. The point on your lumbar region where this line intersects is the base of your torso measurement. Maintain an upright posture, and ask your friend to measure the distance between the C7 and the imaginary line formed by your thumbs. This measurement constitutes your torso length.

Product Customer Reviews
Both functional and adjustable. Be careful of the Velcro fasteners which snag your clothes.
I bought this bag over a year ago and tested it on several three-day mountain treks (with my tent or in lodges). The +: * Lots of pockets that allow you to store and easily access your equipment * Large enough to go completely independently with your tent * You don't feel the weight of the bag at all * Rather solid so far; no tear in the fabric, no closure or buckle has failed and even when fully loaded The -: * I am 1m50 tall and I am embarrassed if I add things to the top of the bag, so I have to leave without the additional 10L * The frame hurts at the waist, but by carrying the bag a little lower than usual, I no longer feel anything * I tried one day to leave with a 1L bottle on the side and on a narrow path the bottle rubs against the walls and unbalances me. I would have preferred to be able to put two 0.5L bottles on the side or on the straps and have less bulky storage than the current one * The fact that the back is curved, in addition to adding its water pocket, means that it there is not a lot of space in the main pocket I recommend this bag for its practicality, but changes to make it more suitable for small people would be welcome.
The multitude of pockets and clips allows you to adjust the filling of the bag as best as possible. The support and carrying are perfect. The only regret is the closures which would benefit from being more flexible. The lining tends to get caught when closing... Too bad
Very well compartmentalized
Spacious, practical and comfortable to use.
My 8 year old daughter joined the scouts this year, it was perfect for her camp! The bag is very well thought out, the compartments are easily accessible and well made.
It's a very good bag, but you must not be less than 1.60 meters tall. I think I was misinformed about the bag when I purchased it. After about twenty kms I had pain on each side of my hips with bruises after 50 kms. Even when setting the smallest size the metal structure hurts a lot. I had to exchange my bag with my husband's, which is not at all suitable for me but which hurts less. I still have a lot of miles to go! If I could return it, that would be a pleasure.
very satisfied with the purchase! it is sturdy and durable. It has many compartments and pockets of different sizes which are very useful for managing the space in the best possible way. I find it quite roomy and very comfortable.
Good bag, well thought out, pretty. The only downside for me is that, at 13 kilos, it hurts my collarbones and each side of my kidneys (round part) at the end of the day (around 25km). I tried several adjustments but to no avail.
Used while roaming, this bag is not suitable for my body type (153cm). The frame rises too high behind the head and hinders movement. The hip belt is uncomfortable, you can feel the metal frame. Furthermore, the bag seems solid, is well compartmentalized and makes it easy to find your belongings. The hole for the water bag hose is quite narrow. If you are small, this bag may not be suitable for you.
I used it throughout the 10-day camp. The interior volume is nice, but it was a bit small and I had a hard time fitting my belongings. Apart from that, it provides ease of use thanks to its waist support, which takes the product to a higher level than other products. The shoulder parts are thick but it is not a problem. Forclaz there is no need to explain anyway. The price could have been a little more affordable. I was satisfied.
I went on a trek for 3 days. The straps are getting really painful! So I focused on the size, but nothing to do, the trip quickly became chaotic
Very comfortable and the color is very pretty
A great backpack with many gadgets and pockets. It sits beautifully on the back, does not press anywhere. The very first time I walked over 124 km with it in 5 days (without mat and sleeping bag). The quality/price ratio is ideal.
Difficult to adjust for me who only measures 1.56. The bag is not suitable for small sizes

Recommended carry weight
According to the project for which this backpack was designed, we recommend you don’t load it above 15 kg. Then you can benefit from all its features. Moreover, it’s not recommended to carry a load greater than 20-25% of your own weight and put too much pressure on your back.
How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Store your clothing around it. A groundsheet or tent can be placed under the flap or under the bag if there isn't room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment provided down the back.
How to use the multi-use straps?
The new range of MT500 AIR and MT900 UL bags has two straps with open aluminium buckles (on the lower part of the bag). These straps let you hook on a tent or mattress under the bag or on the barrel. If not in use, these straps can be stored (by pushing them inside) in the hidden pocket intended for this or detached and used elsewhere with the lark's head knot buckle.
Female body shape
Our women's models are adapted to their body shape (chest and hips) with a more open shoulder strap shape and a higher fitted belt for greater comfort and freedom of movement.
