- This light puffer jacket has been designed for backpacking, yet offers a great design making it perfect for everyday use in cold and mild weather.
- Warmth: From 23°F and warmer, this puffer jacket will keep you comfortably warm and is filled with recycled polyester: easier to wash than a downjacket.
- Compact and light: the MT100 jacket is packable into the left hand pocket. It only weighs 11 oz in size M.

packz nicely into pocket, albeit a bit bilky and could be more compact.
Excellent value for money, ideal for cooler summer evenings and camping. Not as warm and compact as some brands but excellent for the money.
Used it for DofE Gold, worked well
Very comfortable. I doubt it's waterproof but tbh I have not taken it out in the rain. It is really cosy warm and I know come autumn and winter I will probably be living in it! Love it. Zip pockets which I always look for. Full zip so can be left open if required. Hooded too to keep your neck and head warm. Brilliant.

I have such a blue jacket and for variety I also bought a green one. A unique combination of lightness, warmth and comfort.
I am a big believer that even though you do get what you pay for when it comes to technical clothing, there are times when you don't have to spend £££. Not to mention that budget friendly gear makes enjoying the outdoors accessible to more people! This jacket was my first Decathlon purchase, I was a bit apprehensive on what the quality would be like but happy to say it exceeded all my expectations. First off - thank you Decathlon for including earthy colours like khaki in "womens" product lines 🙏🏻 I know aesthetics shouldn't be a prioity but it was the first thing that caught my attention with this jacket, not having to settle for the usual black/blue/purple/pink. I've owned this jacket for 3 months and been wearing it consistently since. For such a lightweight, packable piece of clothing it does a tremendous job of keeping you toasty. For my daily walk to and from work in the last week's -5°c temperatures I have been comfortable in this coat and just a short-sleeve synthetic base layer underneath. During a blustery break in Whitby going out onto the cliffs at night to stargaze, the coat combined with a good baseayer and fleece kept me comfortable whilst sat stationary. Overall, a brilliant jacket worth every penny!
Excellent jacket for the colder days
I have tried stupidly expensive jackets but I always go back to this one! I have had 2 jackets now, they have been absolutely hammered and my current jacket is on its 4th year! I’m just about to buy another for best. Definitely worth the money!

For dog walks in the dry Feb March and April this has been perfect, love the colour too. Not wicking so on any climb, you can get pretty warm pretty quickly but value for money, cant complain. Definitely would buy again.

Thermal insulation - warmth
This padded jacket has been certified for a comfort temperature of -5°C during a standardised test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved t-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 5 km/h wind. In our heat comparison tool, it represents 2 stars.

Technical information on the wadding
We use 100% polyester wadding weighing 125 g/sqm in the body section and 100 g/sqm in the sleeves and hood. The wadding is made from silicone-coated spiral fibres that make it highly compressible and highly durable. Despite its low thickness, it has high insulation properties thanks to the air trapped inside, and remains lightweight. It retains its warmth even when wet.
Durable materials
This polyamide canvas uses 20 denier threads (measurement unit of the thread) and resists up to 20,000 abrasion cycles. Durability is calculated using the Martindale test, Standard 12 947-2. This test is to rub the jacket’s material against another material to observe how the product resists wear. Outer: 100% polyamide fabric 39g/sqm, 20 denierLining: 100% polyester fabric 35g/sqm, mix of 15 to 20 denier threads
Water repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Water repellent treatment products are available in our stores.
How to restore water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises performance throughout the lifespan of your garment. You will find it in stores and on our website by entering the code 8554908
Product testing
In November 2017, 6 trekkers (4 men and 2 women) with part of the Forclaz design team tested this padded jacket for four days in the Southern French Alps. We were then able to make the final modifications and validate it for use for backpacking.
