Bought these with reservations. Considerably cheaper than the previous hiking boots that withstood 1.5 hours walking almost daily for a whole year. However, I'm pleasantly surprised. These are as comfy, if not more so and have withstood the miles without any problem. They look good and I wear daily without feeling like people wonder if I'm off to climb Everest in them. Withstand soggy school runs and daily wear.
Son is enjoying these, encouraging himt o get out into the hills and good value

Good shoes for going to the mountains, breathable. Blisters the first time out but they will surely soften over time
When I tried them on in-store, the shoes seemed perfect: very comfortable on flat terrain. It was in the mountains that the problems began. Uphill, my heel shifts in the shoe, which causes blisters despite good lacing. Downhill, it's even worse: the front part is too narrow. I can't tighten them without pain in my little toes, and if I loosen them, my foot slides forward and hits, causing pain and blisters. Perhaps going up a size could have reduced these problems, and I would have appreciated the sales associate pointing this out to me during the fitting, since he recommended this model to me. I did try to break them in by walking over 50 km in them, but nothing worked: they don't fit me. And since they're now used, I can't return them. I'm rarely disappointed by a Decathlon product, but this one, unfortunately, was a failure. And given the importance of hiking shoes, this is a critical point.

I bought these boots on route to my first hike, and a tough one it was up Sebesul de Sus to the cabana. ok. uphill, no prep, no breaking in and the boots were perfect straight out of the box. impressed
shoe narrow at the toes, too warm for the beginning of April, not very comfortable, the old Forclaz MT100 was more comfortable
Very good boots! I would call them value for money. I give them 4 stars and not 5 because I expected them to be a little more flexible, but for such a price I am satisfied!
The soles of the shoes are very thick and very warm. The outdoor shoes I bought from Kalenji before came apart after 2 months. I returned this pair of shoes and still trust Decathlon. They are sturdy.
It's been a month and a half since I bought these shoes. I haven't done any long walks in them. They hurt my feet after a few kilometers, and the heels of the soles wear out extremely quickly, like rubber. Maybe a manufacturing defect???

This boot has been tested and validated for 10,000 flexes repeatable, equivalent to a 15 km walk, in water reaching the mid-upper. Increase your boot’s waterproofing with a gaiter

Choosing your size is an important point.
For hiking, do not hesitate to buy one size larger than the usual size to guarantee excellent comfort on the descent and to avoid toes rubbing at the tip of the shoe. Tip: keep your toenails short and, before descending, check that your lacing prevents your foot from sliding forwards inside the boot.
5 levels of waterproofing
Our boots are laboratory tested by 2 consecutive tests:Test 1: We test the effectiveness of the membrane alone immersed in water under air pressure. We simply check for any bubbles on the surface like a pierced air chamber. Test 2: Thanks to a mechanical arm that simulates walking, the entire boots are half immersed in water and they complete thousands of flexes to check that the inside of the boot remains dry and it is therefore waterproof.
