Excellent UL trekking bag, ice climbing and travel

If you are an experienced ul traveler and have compatible equipment, this bag can hold up 12 kg comfortably, the transeparancy in daylight is an awesome feature. 3 seasons Trekable if cleverly used. Also great for a day of multipitch climb/ice climbing! Has all the necessary feature without failure points. Strong and light, has loops for upgrading with drawstring/smart elastic nets. Best value for money. Only thing it lacks is another entrance but the top. Does compensate with truly ul weight fighting the biggest names on industry. A well kept secret (:

Great product

Excellent for rock climbing routes. Very light and roomy to store rope and helmet and avoid messy backpacks. Nothing to envy to the well-known BD blitz.

I use it for any type of mountaineering: rock climbing, waterfalls, mixed climbing at high altitude. For now it is perfect and above all it resists abuse well, for now, considering the price, I would buy it again without even having to think about it.

To flee

The ice axe holder broke after less than a year. It was supposedly irreparable, according to the workshop. This bag is far too fragile, it's becoming dangerous.

GREAT BACKPACK

The price to quality ratio is brilliant. The best assault pack I've ever had. The new version has been slightly changed for the better in terms of attaching ice axes.

Poor quality material

Compared to the previous model, the fabric is worse, it falls apart at the slightest touch, and it is also less resistant to water. The shoulders suffer a lot with the weight.

lightweight, practical and comfortable backpack. Also recommended for the grandes courses of mountaineering! The only flaw: it lacks a zipper that allows you to easily reach the things placed on the bottom, but on the other hand it is a backpack that avoids any superfluous weight, without sacrificing sturdiness.

Best bag on the market!

I have used a multitude of mountain bags over the last 20 years, including very expensive ones from prestigious brands ... Well, it is clear that the best is the Simond: simple, rustic, light, inexpensive, comfortable to wear: the best! For the price of a bag from a Haute Savoie brand, I have three Simonds; enough to see me through a few years of mountain life 😉

Very interesting capacity for…

Very interesting capacity for a 2-day GV outing! A little expensive for Decathlon but the quality seems to be there!

Great bag for the Alps

Lightweight and minimalist bag, but allows you to carry what you need for any day or 2-day mountaineering race. allows you to easily attach ice axes and rope. No advice for use with skis. The only criticism is the opening and closing system of the bag. I had to call after-sales service for an exchange. The cord had come loose at the heat shrink tubing. point of fragility? little extra, the reflective Simond logo on the bag. At night with headlamps it looks great!

Zip broken in a few months

Good morning, The bag was given to me last year, light and practical, however from the start the interior fabric had a tendency to get stuck in the side zipper... What ended up happening happened, the closure broke by force to get stuck in the fabric…. Not to mention the bottom of the bag which starts to tear after a few months... I asked the workshop service to take a look and they told me there was nothing they could do. The warranty requires proof of purchase, which I cannot provide since the bag was given to me. I end up with a €70 bag that is almost no longer usable after a few months… I do not recommend this bag at all!

An outing, a bag?

I just bought this bag, I regularly go ski mountaineering. In spring you have to carry your skis... it didn't take more than an hour of carrying to tear the bag in the middle with friction. Not to mention that the chest straps don't hold and come undone on their own. I am a regular at the SIMOND brand which usually makes good alpi gear. Today I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this bag. There's no point making a light bag with ski holders if the bag isn't durable... I strongly advise against purchasing this bag for those who do downhill skiing.
