You need to cut the old buckle to install the product. Either with a thin saw or strong scissors. It is compatible. It is a nice product but they sell it expensively. It should be cheaper
I bought it to replace the broken buckle. It turned out to be stronger than the old one.
Fits well on already sewn straps. You don't have to rip anything and then sew it back. Works great as a replacement for the original broken buckle.
