Overall it’s a good coat but as I used it for some very wet school runs, the rain passed through the coat and my clothes underneath got wet on a few occasions. It’s ok if you use an umbrella but having to push a stroller around I’m not able to so this coat didn’t work for me.

A but on the small size but defo waterproof
Brought primarily to walk the dog. I had to go for a larger size to fit my bigger bust but going larger in the body mean the wrist elastic was then too large and had to be altered by adding additional elastic to fit. Coat is overall a good purchase. I do have some concerns over padding over some usage time as it doesn't feel the sturdiest.

This jacket is really gorgeous! The colors are great, too. I had to return this jacket, since it was too big. I would say size down, one size for a less-roomy fit, which is the fit I like.
Excellent, versatile, I missed the choice of colors
Hello I only gave it 4 stars for snow because I haven't tested it in those conditions. But I've worn it in wind, rain, and extreme cold, and it's always very comfortable. I stay warm and dry. The hood is roomy, which is very comfortable. The only downside: the pockets don't close, so I'm always afraid of losing my things inside.

The warm hood, elastic tightening at the cuffs, and high collar help keep the cold out. Two cozy fleece-lined pockets shield your hands from the chill.
Waterproofness of this jacket
The waterproofness of a jacket isn't just about its materials; the assembly technique also plays a crucial role. Whether heat-sealed or sewn and then waterproofed, the overall waterproofness is assessed using a shower test developed by Decathlon, which simulates various intensities of rain. This waterproof jacket is designed to protect you from light rain, equivalent to 1.2 inches (3 cm) of rain in 30 minutes.

The waterproofness of a fabric, provided by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerber or mm H²O (the pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This jacket has a waterproof component (JIS 1092 standard) that is resistant to 5,000 mm H²O (Schmerbers) before washing.

Your jacket is waterproof thanks to its taped main seams. Waterproof tape is applied to the seams inside the garment to ensure they are watertight, preventing water from seeping through the more vulnerable areas. We validated the waterproofing with a shower test designed to replicate the conditions of a 30-minute shower. Additionally, we tested it in various weather conditions to ensure it meets the demands of your activities.
