I just wrote a review with a remark about this missing carrier strap. But actually my mistake: It is in a “hidden pocket” just under the address label. So, all in all: perfect!

Really great value product. I haven’t used it yet but the material seems strong, the long handle is sturdy and can be kept in a pouch and it has smaller handles that looks convenient. All folds away neatly into a flap.

Bought this for an overland trip with trekking included. Fit my backpack and other items when checking in. Would have been great if the material was also waterproof, as bag could be exposed to rain at some airports when loading and unloading from the plane. If waterproof, it would also be useful during treks when transported.

Brought this last minute for a trip abroad wasn't expecting much but it proved to be an excellent choice, was strong light and easy to stash away in my rucksack, the hidden shoulder strap is a bonus, great product

Good strong bag which survived airport handling with cycling pannier bags inside plus helmet etc. And fold down to small pack.

Exactly as described - it holds a full 65 litre rucksack easily and there’s the extra capacity if you need it. Material appears to be hard wearing and the handle is sturdy and can be packed into a zipped compartment. The bag folds in on itself neatly when not in use and isn’t too bulky. Easy to padlock. Hopefully will stand up to several long haul flights and lots of bus journeys! Watch this space!

Brilliant bit of kit

I used this cover to protect my Osprey Aether 65 during a recent trip which included several flights. The fit was perfect with some spare room for a tent and potentially additional items. Based on my experience, I am not sure what one of the previous reviewers meant when they said the cover's fit was tight. The cover has a zip-up 'second stage' that can be unzipped to add extra volume. Maybe the other person did not notice this option. In addition to the expansion chamber, the cover has a shoulder strap that can be stowed away in a dedicated pocket and the entire cover folds into itself to create a neat pack for storage. The bag material and handles seem strong and the overall build quality is good. At less than half the price of Osprey's own travel cover there isn't anything more I could ask for.

Use when traveling by plane. Practical for storing large backpacks, large travel items (travel cot, baby carrier backpack, etc.), or for storing several small bags and only having to present one checked bag. Relatively durable and practical to carry once full. It protects the bags well from airport handling, and the double closure systems allow for padlocks. I have three covers, purchased 20 years ago, 8 years ago, and last year. The first cover, purchased 20 years ago, is quite worn but still functional. The second one, purchased about 8 years ago, is still in very good condition. The last two models seem more robust and easier to carry, but the maximum capacity is smaller: my large Decathlon hiking backpack, when completely full, doesn't fit in the new covers, which is a shame... I really appreciate the fact that there's an opening to adjust the capacity.
