I used the tent pole rethreading service offered by Decathlon and was thoroughly impressed with the staff, cost and efficiency of the service.
Works fine
Good
My beach tent is over 30 yrs old and is still serviceable but the shock-cord has failed in one set of poles. Thought it would be difficult but this cord held its 'stiffness' to enable me to thread it through the narrow poles relatively easily. Yes, you do have to get the old elastic out - thin tweezers (for ends) and a pair of pliers in case you need to remove any metal bits. Will buy some more for 'stock' for when next pole needs it.
