Comfortable and waterproof

Waterproofness as described

First test on a 5 hour hike including at least 3 hours in dry snow, and after the waterproofing deteriorated. These are not boots or snowboots, but hiking shoes!!! Well I am satisfied with the performance of the product

It should be better

The shoes seem to fit well but they are chafed. Obviously, these are new shoes but I have never used such non-ergonomic footwear. The upper is tight, when we loosen it, the foot wobbles too much. Today, a 17 km trail in the mountains. You don't feel that these are shoes for PLN 380. I bought them based on the parameters and I liked the look. This is a plus because trekking shoes often have idiotic, gaudy colors. It seems to me that they are poorly designed from the beginning. It is better to choose others. Best regards

Perfectly versatile

High enough not to get caught in the sand in the desert. Grippy and cushioning enough in stony environments

Fit for purpose

Waterproof. Comfortable. It can withstand the rigors.

Walking shoe - hiking

For the moment the best pair of walking shoes with which I have been able to evolve. Solid, waterproof and comfortable, simple and effective lacing without hindering support or circulation. I note all the same two minor drawbacks: the shoe can discolor with humidity on the ankles provided that we do not wear socks high enough, and second small problem, the laces wear out quite quickly overall with fasteners perhaps a little too prominent on the top of the shoe.

Very good

Very comfortable, but could have more padding on the front of the fingers. It's easy to solve with thicker socks

FORCLAZ HIGH LEATHER TREKKING SHOES - MT100 -

After 20km, these shoes became unbearable to wear! The inner seam literally cut into my ankle... I actually had inflammation of my right joint. At €90 for a pair of shoes, I find this incomprehensible!

The first hooks of the laces are too close, which means that to put the foot in it is a little tight. The laces are too long.

Where are our trekking shoes made?

These Trekking boots are manufactured in the European Union, in Romania, in a factory that specialises in making trekking boots.

Routes suited to this boot

This boot is designed for trekking on generally low altitude routes and/or on easier marked trails.

This boot’s waterproof level

This boot has been tested and validated for 10,000 flexes repeatable, equivalent to a 15 km walk, in water reaching the mid-upper. This now guarantees a good level of boot waterproofing.--> Our assessment indicates a LEVEL OF 3/5 giving 6 hours of waterproofing when hiking in the rain. The details of tests carried out to assess the waterproofing of our boots is below.

Increase your boot’s waterproofing with a gaiter

The waterproofing of boots is often compromised because water gets in at the collar of the boot. --> To keep your feet dry for longer, it is advisable to use a waterproof gaiter or mini-gaiter that will prevent water as well as pebbles and sand from getting inside through the top of the boot.TREK 500 BLACK TREKKING GAITERS(code to type in the search bar: 8802162)

Choosing your size is an important point.

For hiking, do not hesitate to buy one size larger than the usual size to guarantee excellent comfort on the descent and to avoid toes rubbing at the tip of the shoe. Tip: keep your toenails short and, before descending, check that your lacing prevents your foot from sliding forwards inside the boot.

5 levels of waterproofing

Our boots are laboratory tested by 2 consecutive tests:Test 1: We test the effectiveness of the membrane alone immersed in water under air pressure. We simply check for any bubbles on the surface like a pierced air chamber. Test 2: Thanks to a mechanical arm that simulates walking, the entire boots are half immersed in water and they complete thousands of flexes to check that the inside of the boot remains dry and it is therefore waterproof.
