Product Customer Reviews

Keeps you warm, very light and pleasant to wear. I recommend this product.
Very good product Comfortable to wear
Perfect down jacket, very good size
I love the color, for the rest, see the previous review
Although a little early to give an opinion, this down jacket seems promising, especially since I am coming from the southwest of Toulouse and the temperatures are much milder there. So my daughter and I needed warm and comfortable outdoor leisure clothing. Nice cut, which doesn't spoil anything!
Very good 👍
Very comfortable and warm

Very well cut, very warm and a very enveloping hood!
Very comfortable
It doesn't have good value for money
Super happy with my purchase
Down jacket only used in town, not for sports
Warm
The look and shape are good. Design is fine. There is no lining on the inside of the fingers. You will freeze in it at -10 degrees. It's still good at 0 degrees. The price is expensive compared to its cold tolerance. Good in the November cold. Not for winter.

How warm is this padded jacket?
This padded jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 14°F (-10°C) during a standardized test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3.1 mi/h wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. Its comfort temperature is 32°F (0°C) in this case.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?
The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to ”trap” air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. This puffer jacket, filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (international standard) or over.

What is rds certification?
RDS or “Responsible Down Standard” is a worldwide certification issued by an independent organization to volunteer brands. This standard enables us to guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers commit to using only feathers from geese and ducks raised for their meat and slaughtered before down and feathers are collected.
The eco-design actions carried out on this down jacket
The lining of the inner lining is innovative because it is two-toned. Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this impact on the environment, we use only mass pigmentation of one yarn out of every two (Bi-ton), and thus reduce our consumption and our impact on water. The outer fabric is made of recycled polyester.
How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 86°F (30°C), with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimizes its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
Product testing
In November 2021, 4 independent female Forclaz backpackers and 2 members of Forclaz are tested this down jacket for 3 days of backpacking up to 9842 ft. altitude near Chamonix, in the Mont Blanc Country. The feedback given to us after this test: let us validate this down jacket for backpacking in the mountains.
