Looks well built and good value.

I have only briefly played in the river with this. It seems at least as good as other packrafts I have used eg an Alpacka and a MRS nomad .The weight is impressive. Robustness review will have to wait.

Cool!

After three day trips on the water, I'm excited. I drove two quiet sections of Úhlava and the end of Lomnice a little below the 1st flood stage, which I guess was WWII+. The packraft handles even the wildest water just fine, you only need to scoop it up and pour it out. But thanks to the large displacement and low weight of the boat, this is not a problem. In this regard, I don't think that the covered tip of the higher model from Decathlon (Packraft 500) would help in any way, I still have a backpack in the front that catches a lot of water, and I usually collect water from the side - thanks to the fact that the flat packraft obviously doesn't hold its direction very well, so when navigating a river you often have to go sideways, and if you catch a roll or a broken wave in it, you take it just sideways, almost never over the tip. I was pleasantly surprised by the durability of the material, despite a couple of scratches, it is undamaged (only a smudge is visible, but the material is otherwise intact). Super is great stability given the considerable width and flat bottom. Getting in and out takes a bit of grif, in the shallow water I climb into, I get into the boat with a controlled fall on my ass, I don't have the confidence to stand on the soft, unreinforced bottom (maybe I could bear it, but I really don't want to step on it...). The packability is of course excellent, carrying the boat away from the water in a backpack is simply a breeze, even though the weight of the complete package shows me more like 2.5 kg, definitely not under 2, as stated in the description, but it's still ok. At the same time, the lightness of the boat is amazing for carrying weirs, etc. It would also be nice if Decathlon offered (or directly packaged) some ready-made system of tightening elastics with hooks for attaching cargo, tying with rope or straps takes a long time, I had to solve it with 3D printed self-jamming hooks and gumolan.

Inexpensive and stable

The initial skepticism quickly disappeared after the first paddle strokes. I feared a very unstable back and forth panning of the boots. But after I had mounted my Brompton (folding bike 13kg) on the bow in advance, that was negligible. Magic potion: weight in front, be it just a 5-10L water supply or any luggage. If you want, you can glue on a removable fin. Overall, it was a good decision, and the price and performance are right. On the way I'm on tame water, that's enough for me, although there are also quite spectacular videos on WW I. My height is 176cm, - Ü60, 80kg, there is space for almost stretched feet. A bath towel folded several times has proven itself as an additional backrest for me. Folding the boat is quick, but I couldn't get it together as small as it was when it was delivered. Inflating with a bladder bag is surprisingly quick and easy. No long-term experience yet, but the first impression is absolutely correct. An interesting option for those who want to travel by public transport in combination with a bicycle (folding bike). I also ordered the inexpensive 4-part paddle. This is also well processed and can be rotated as desired. Drip rings important, order separately. Shipping was pretty quick.

packraft Great for hiking and paddling

It is my first boat, unfortunately there is no fuel protection, no fins, no small life jackets, I informed myself well beforehand and if you buy your equipment together you can paddle great, I even had more weight in the boat and it worked great ( dog, backpack with a change of clothes) approx. 115 kg, if it were a little bigger, I'm 1.69 and it's close, 10 or 20 cm longer would be a dream. It's a pity that Decathlon doesn't have a really big packraft for 2 people, with which you can also transport loads, then it would be great for water hiking. I make the Spreewald unsafe with it, after 7 or 8 tours you already have the rental fee. It's an alternative to kayaking, I don't think you're much slower and it's great to get around in small canals. I have 5 fins (one broke) so I have very good control of the directional stability and it is still more manoeuvrable than a kayak. If you drive wrong in the Spreewald, you can turn around very easily without having to get out of the water, at locks you quickly carry it over with many advantages.

Great entry-level packraft

I was pleasantly surprised by this packraft! Thought it would only be a better bathing boat, but used it the first time on the Isar between Woflratshausen and Buchenhain with a dog (! Labrador!). Despite almost completely using the maximum capacity, I never had the feeling that I was in any kind of trouble with this (I'm not a completely inexperienced paddler), even in the easy whitewater passages and between all the dead wood on the Isar. It even survived a collision with a tree just below the water surface unscathed! To pack: I had a much more expensive packraft from a well-known company before, but have since sent it back because I simply couldn't roll it up properly and put it in the packsack - with the Itiwit this was not a problem from the start!

Good boat with small flaws

The boat itself is really great for the price. It is very light, takes up little space and can be assembled and disassembled very quickly. Only the driving characteristics could be better. Unfortunately, the directional stability is not particularly good. That's why I glued on a removable fin from a packraft manufacturer and it's been great ever since. Perhaps Decathlon could develop its own solution here. A detachable spraydeck would also be a huge improvement. But overall it's a great boat which could be almost perfect with a few tweaks.

Very good for the price

Very light, seems solid but I haven't rubbed it on rocks, much cheaper than packrafts elsewhere. That of another brand that I had tested inflated in 3-4 times, for this one, count 12-15 times, which is not serious. Rather easy to store and transport, it's a shame that there are no Decathlon paddles that fit in the carrying bag. I have not (yet) found any elsewhere. Tested in lakes and very calm seas, serves its purpose well. I haven't had the opportunity to test it in the river yet, given the drought this summer.

nice

great product, it will be used mainly for me to recover a model sailing on rivers and bodies of water, small remark an inflatable floor type of the seat would be a good improvement, removable like the seat to stiffen the floor

Perfect for my use

Very good packraft to start the activity! Very compact, it fits in a waterproof backpack (30/40L depending on what you do with it) You can also hang it on your bag if you have a lot of equipment to take (tent, food, clothes...) I I use it on the Marne which flows near my home for walks and to look for fishing or bivouac spots. For Bikerafting, choose the 500 model or another brand.

Lightness; excellent !…

Lightness; excellent ! Capacity: good and Durability: to be seen over time... A small pressure gauge should be added to easily check the optimal inflation pressure indicated... NB: Folding in 3 as shown in the video takes up more space than that carried out for the delivery ! A screen print would be welcome to optimize the folding. It is advised in the booklet "to prolong its lifespan" to store it flat, slightly inflated... to report on the description online...

Paxraft 100 Inflatable TPU 1 Person

My first experience with this PACKRAFT was very conclusive. I had chosen it for its lightness (for hikes) and its price. I really like its design, its colors. It is very easy to navigate despite a slight tendency to turn after a stroke of the paddle: Can be solved by adding a rear drift under the boat (self-adhesive support). The comfort is very good compared to the itiwit 100 x2 seats that I also have. friction does not damage the tpu over time). If your t-shirt goes up in the back, the strap irritates from rubbing on the right rear side. An improvement would simply consist of doing as on the x100 x2 instead: sticking Velcro under the seat and on the bottom in order to remove this strap. I will still keep a strap to clip the Packraft on once rolled up. Apart from that, I like my ultra-light Packraft and recommend it.

A solidity to all…

An unfailing solidity, for having hit rocks and trunks during the crossing of very eventful rapids, I am still looking for where the scratches may be hidden. The ultra strong Packraft. To buy without hesitation, the best value for money.

Why go packrafting?

Packrafts are an adventure in waiting for those passionate about outdoor sports. This experience brings together at least two sports and allows you to vary your activities and enjoy the landscapes between the ascent and the descent differently.Tour on foot or by bike, for one or several days, you will reconnect with nature and enjoy it as much as possible!

What is the difference between rafting and packrafting?

Rafting and packrafting can be enjoyed on rivers with a varying number of rapids. In rafting, you are in a team on the same craft, and you steer the raft with a simple paddle (canoe style) and head downriver. In packrafting, you head upstream and then paddle downriver in your packraft (we recommend that you stay together as a group, and use a double paddle (kayak-style).The packraft stands alone and weighs only 2 kg, while the raft, weighing around 80 kg and can be carried between the group.

How was the design worked on?

A packraft in the colours found in river scenery to allow you to have an immersive experience. For safety reasons, the orange allows you to remain visible at all times and to be tracked on the water. The Itiwit teams have created different prototypes in order to test the different shapes and provide you with maximum manoeuvrability and good stability. In the interest of compactness, the packraft only has the essentials so that it can keep up with you on all your adventures.

How to inflate the packraft.

Connect the tube to the valve of the packraft as well as to the valve of the inflation bag. Open the bag fully to trap a maximum amount of air. Close the top of the bag and roll it to allow the air to pass into the raft. You can press it with your knees to help. The packraft is sufficiently inflated when you can no longer inflate it with the bag. Use the same technique to inflate your seat.

What does the kayak bag contain?

The pack includes:-The “pump bag”: storage bag which is also the bag which will help you to inflate the packraft - the tube- the packraft- the seat- a repair kit

Safety on the water

Remember to use an ISO 12402-5 buoyancy aid waistcoat and an EN 1484 helmet when you head out onto rivers.
