Product Customer Reviews

Bought this few weeks ago and used it already maybe 5 times and took me sometime to understand how to find the right place for the seat on the kayak. The way is designed doesn’t really work. It’s too high up and makes the kayak unstable but I found a way to make it work. Great product just needs a little adjustment.
Kayak is so far so good Would recommend product However decathlon service has been below average, they sold products they didn’t have in stock making a young child miss their birthday present, it took over 2 months for this to be rectified. For this reason I will never order from this store again
Bought them a few weeks ago and have used them heaps. Easy to use, quick to inflate, easy to pack away as long as it’s dried out fully. Worth every penny.
I am very happy with my kayak I am a mature female and found the inflating and getting of my kayak ready to launch was easy and user friendly and was lovely to get out on the river
We were looking around for a light kayak to use to get out 100m to a boat. It is quite stable, very well made and easy to inflate. We are very happy with it.
This kayak inflates in minutes with the hand pump and is as sturdy as a fibreglass kayak. The ease of inflating, deflating and packing it into its backpack mean that I use it much more regularly.
Used twice so far in quite big swell (for a beginner kayaker) which, to be fair, it coped with really well. Looking forward to calmer waters.
Easy to assemble. Sturdy, open top allows you to move, bend and stretch your legs. Easier to get into and out of due to this.
I bought two of these back in April this year for my partner and I. We have used them maybe 4/5 times on the River Medway (super calm water, no longer than the two hours advised at a time) all care instructions were followed; used a correct pump with a PSI meter so they weren't over inflated, slightly under inflated in hot temps to avoid overinflation again, pumped up as per instructions, dried and cared for superbly. Despite this, after 5 lovely trips out, both kayaks have punctures in them. At first, not an issue, 'these things happen' I said to myself, until I realised that actually one of the kayaks didn't even have a repair kit included. (Perhaps as we bought a display item) We were assured that we have a two year warranty on both kayaks. Yet despite trying to contact the customer care team and the store manager whom assisted us with the purchase, no-one got back to me. I think this is a real shame as I had a great relationship with the store manager previously (who stopped responding when I mentioned the damaged product), and over the last ear have spent easily over a grand on kayaking and camping equipment. Please be careful buying these as they're an awful lot of money for the use you actually get out of them. I'm really disappointed, as these were meant to last us a few years until we had enough saved to upgrade to rigid kayaks, however at this rate, we'll be retiring from kayaking.
Hello Maja,
I'm very sorry to hear about the bad experience you've had with our products and after care support. This is not the high standard we usually deliver so I'm sorry that on this occassion we have fallen short.
Has this since been resolved? If not, please do reach out to me via email in response and I will do my best to find a solution to this for you.
Many thanks,
Sam

Ordered on Sunday evening and delivered Wednesday lunchtime. Extremely well packaged, courteous courier and exactly what I ordered. Compare that to a ‘rival’ company who I’ll not name. I’d initially ordered a different kayak from elsewhere with 3-5 day delivery. Took them 10 days just to get it ready for dispatch and the kayak delivered on day 14 wasn’t the one I’d ordered. So, many thanks Decathlon - should have come to you in the first place! I’ve not inflated the kayak yet but hopefully it will be ok! Saw another owner with one a few days ago and was impressed with the quality and style. Can’t wait to get on the water!
Very stable and a breeze to put up and take down
Since getting a new car I've been unable to lift our heavy, rigid kayak onto the roof single-handed - so I decided a single person inflatable was worth a try. We already have an excellent Sevylor double inflatable canoe so I wasn't sure about this one but from my single outing so far I'm impressed. It's light enough to carry it a distance, and it pumps up very quickly. It sits high in the water and yaws a bit when paddling despite the three fins, and is quite susceptible to getting blown by the wind, as you'd expect. But I live in Norfolk and paddle on the Broads and rivers so I can live with that. The seat backrest is poor, but the cushion is supportive enough. It appears well-manufactured and fairly tough. This suits my needs perfectly at the price, and I think I'll use it a lot, as will the kids.
great value for money and brilliant fun, very easy set up and put down in only a few minutes, you can feel the quality, just remember you will need to buy the pump, oar and would definitely recommend getting a buoyancy vest
I have taken this in the sea only and it seems to cope with slight waves. I bought it because I do not have a roof-rack on my car but it is a pain to inflate. That is not to say that it is not well made and does the job as described.
Love is kayka

Care instructions
In the event of damage to one of the side chambers, open the side tube lengthwise using the zipper and remove the chamber. The floor can be uncovered by opening the velcro fastenings.Example 1: The hole is in the side tube; You can use the repair kit to stick on a patch.Example 2: The hole is located along a seam; Visit the workshop of a DECATHLON store to repair or exchange the bladder.
