A good well fitting bel, ideal for regular top ups for LONG runs, and useful for simple runs where you just need to store a few things. Could do with a little deeper space for a larger phone but generally a great item. nice to be able to fit poles, and will also take at east one soft flask.

Absolutely love this belt. Used it for LLHM 2025. Only 4 stars as instruction leaflet awful. Did some googling to figure out. Great once you know what's what.

Perfect for holding a few things including poles

The loops on the belt are perfect for holding a jacket or poles. On ultras I would use this in addition to a hydration vest for extra pockets that are accessible, holding a phone and to store poles. It's comfortable although might feel like it's a bit tight to get over the hips. You can loosen the pull cords as much as possible then draw them tighter.

Good belt

Bought for long runs and racing to carry poles. Haven’t been able to make the pole carrying work for me yet but might be me or the poles too short to be carried. Rear pocket is good but would be better if it had Velcro like the front. Front zipped pocket fits standard phone but I just keep my key in it and phone in the larger front pocket. Side pockets hold a few gels/bars that and headphone case no problem. Found it to be stable when loaded with the above and 500ml of water flask in rear pocket. Re sizing I’m 34” waist in UK and bought XL with plenty of adjustment.

Perfect for carrying poles

Struggled with carrying poles in the past using a quiver. This belt however, is great for poles. They attach and detach quickly. They also stay stable and do not bounce. The mobile phone pocket is OK for a mini iphone , you can still store a soft flask and bars in the other pockets. Perhaps for the size of the belt you would want more storage but I guess that’s a compromise for carrying your poles.

The front handphone pouch is useless for nowadays phone unless you are using a mini phone 6" and below. I try putting 400ml nalgene abit bouncy but didn't fell out

Fair product needs updating.

Works ok. Struggles to fit a 500ml soft flask in the front but ok if you drink some first. The rear large pocket is too big and stretchy so I stitched it at the top, then a mobile phone slides in securely. The water proof front pocket is too small for most mobiles.

This belt was perfect for my first marathon. It held my phone, a credit card, 7 large gels, and a small bag of electrolyte powder for a water bottle refill. I used a handheld water bottle, so no bottle was in the belt. There was lots of room still in the belt. The belt fit nice and snug; I did not have to tighten the side adjustment very much at all. You really need to try them on for size though.

The perfect little waist belt

I adjust it according to my waist and tighten it, it loosens as I run. It is a functionally useful product.

To answer some questions in the comments, like "how to put on a bib" or "what are the elastic pockets for": for the bib, you have to drill two holes in the bib, remove the plastic clips from the two small elastics in the front pocket, thread these elastics through the holes, and put the clips back on the elastics, in front of the bib. For the "elastic pockets", I think they are simply small sheaths to store the elastics on the sides, which stick out when you tighten them. Otherwise, I have little perspective because I recently bought them, but the belt does its job, if you take the right size. If you are between two sizes, in my opinion you should take the size below, because 1) once in the race you forget that it is a little tight, and at least the equipment (smartphone, bottles) does not shake, and 2) over time the belt will relax.

Definitely a very good quality product. But even the XL size is too small for 1.70m and 90kg.

It's a bit warm and makes your stomach sweat, but other than that it's comfortable and very useful.

Perfect for storing my phone and gels while running. No annoying movement while running. Size M/L too small, order L/XL.

For the runner

The belt moves during a long run (marathon), the road

Choosing your size

Measure hip circumference at the waist:XS/S: approximately 29.5-34 inches (75-86 cm)M/L: approximately 34-38.5 inches (86-98 cm)XL/XXL: approximately 38.5-45 inches (98-115 cm)

This is a trail running hydration belt that prioritises comfort:

For ultimate running comfort, our designers created a slip-on belt, like shorts—or over your shorts. It's stable and easily adjustable mid-run with our innovative tightening system.

How to load up your trail running belt

Slip the belt on like shorts! Adjust the side tightening systems for a perfect fit. Secure your phone in the front zip pocket. Stow a 500ml flask in the front mesh pocket and gels/bars in the side pockets. Folded poles attach to the back elastics. Fasten your race number at the front for competitions.

Enjoy your trail runs under the sun:

Carrying essentials in a belt frees up your back, enhancing comfort, especially in hot weather. With 500ml of hydration—about an hour of running time—this belt suits most average runs. Folding pole attachments and a race number holder make it ideal for competitive events.

Here is some advice on making the most of your trail running belt:

For enhanced stability, wear the belt 'low on the waist,' resting on your hips. The pull-tab pockets simplify gear retrieval. If poles are attached, rotate the belt for easy access. Experience the difference!

Damien, the trail running product manager at kiprun, gives an account of how the light trail running belt was designed

InchWe wanted to offer a comfortable solution for trail runners who run without a backpack. The belt provides excellent support, while also freeing up the back. The idea was to have a compact product at the waist and we used the feedback of our customers to perfect the tightening system. In my opinion, it is a good-looking product and the testers loved the innovative features of the tightening system. If you always follow convention, nothing changes. Inch

Product testing

aT KIPRUN, our products are tested by a panel of users under the real-life conditions they were designed for. These tests are organised and supervised by a team of engineers dedicated to the task.
