Does Decathlon intend to ever restock waterproof shoes? You've been out of my size 12 in every non-boot shoe for a long time. I've worn out the first pair I bought and loved the shoe.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this has created for you. Unfortunately, this model is not available in size 12. We recommend looking at this shoe '''' as an alternative. It has a size 12 available at the moment.

Unfortunately not as dense as expected.

I've had these shoes for some time now and use them for cycling. They're OK in normal rain. However, in heavy rain, water gets into the shoe. Not through the top, but through the sole. My feet are always wet underneath and on the sides and front. In addition, once they get a certain level of wetness, depending on the surface, the shoes slip. This can be certain tiles, rocks, but also, unfortunately, my pedals.

Second pair I have of these great price for just knocking about

I was enticed to buy them by the very aggressive price... I was looking for a simple "beater" shoe without too many demands, especially to be used casually every day. my size is a 10US length 278mm foot which usually corresponds to a size around the European 44. the 44 of this shoe touches my toe. the 45 on the other hand, i.e. 285 is wide, perhaps they are shoes that need adjustment but I didn't trust myself to buy the 44 because narrow shoes are hell. Then I gave the 45 I purchased as a gift to an acquaintance as it ran wide. On the site I had seen the dark green model that I would have preferred and it wasn't available in the store, but then again, I was encouraged by the promoted price and the blue model isn't even that bad. Too bad for the rather summary and arbitrary size standard, the same problem I always find with Salomon (French) for example. Because in general they are comfortable shoes and very decently made for the price. However, if I may allow myself a preference. Anyone who wants a product of this type while spending a little more is infinitely better off with the low MH100 for summer and the high MH100 for winter/wet weather. This, if it fits well, is a much more opportunistic and sweaty product, especially in hot summer/warm weather use.

Good shoes

I have used these shoes in various situations, with or without rain, both in winter and summer. The only flaw for warmer temperatures is that the shoe is not very breathable. However, the waterproofing is excellent. At first they seem heavier for those who have only used classic tennis shoes, but it's just time to get used to them.

Resistant soles for walking trails

The sole’s design is the result of long research carried out in our labs. It is composed of a specific rubber formula which optimises grip and traction. We are systematically looking for the best compromise for walking on soft (e.g. forest paths) and stony (e.g. coastal paths) hiking trails. When used on roads, this can lead to the premature wear of your boots and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain walking.

Tested for optimal durability

Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: tearing eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of outsole and upper components, accelerated ageing. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking shoes.

Waterproof boots for 2 hours of hiking in rainy weather

The NH100 Low-rise WP boots are waterproof for two hours of hiking. They have been laboratory tested for 2,000 flexes. Once the boots have dried out, they are waterproof once again.During the waterproofness test, we test 3 levels of waterproofness:- 2,000 flexes, approx. 2 hours hiking- 4,000 flexes, approx. 4 hours hiking- 8,000 flexes, approx. 8 hours hiking

How do we test the waterproofing of your shoes?

Laboratory- and field- tested, these shoes have a membrane to ensure optimal waterproofing and breathability. First, the shoe is immersed in water while internal air pressure is applied to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the footwear. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.

How to choose the size of my walking boots?

Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: - the heel seating- the front of the foot on a downward slopeAvoid any pressure points when fitting. Feel free to walk around to test the comfort and support. Gradually start using you shoes during your first few hiking trips to break them in.

Which pair of socks are suitable for quechua nh150 waterproof boots?

These shoes are slightly breathable, but not enough to evacuate all humidity created by your perspiration. We advise you to choose Hike 100 Mid socks: they contain moisture-absorbing cotton and have a reverse terry-knit construction under the sock that wicks moisture away from your foot. They are also high enough to protect your ankle from the shoe. It is an excellent combination to reduce the chance of blisters.

Product testing

Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location makes it a real meeting place for our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc) and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A great asset for co-designing high-quality products for your hikes and giving you access to all our expertise.

Storage instructions

We recommend you store your boots in a dry, dark and, if possible, ventilated place away from any heat source.
